President Joe Biden again went after 'that loser,' former President Donald Trump, for comments suggesting Americans should inject themselves with bleach during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The president headlined the Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies' black-tie gala Tuesday night at the Washington Convention Center, as he continued to mark Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month.
Biden brought up the pandemic - including the rise of anti-Asian hate crimes due to COVID's origin being Chinese - and Trump's handling of the crisis.
'Look, I'll never forget him lying about the pandemic, telling Americans to inject bleach into their skin,' Biden said, pausing. 'I wonder if he did it?' the president asked with a laugh.
'Might explain some things,' he said.

The president knocked Trump around on immigration reform as well.
Biden recalled how Congress had come close to getting a comprehensive immigration bill passed, though Republican support dwindled after Trump - the 2024 presumptive GOP nominee - interfered.
'This bill had majority, the bipartisan bill, had majority support in the House and Senate but I was told that other guy, that loser,' he said, with the crowd giving him cheers.
'I think he's having trouble,' Biden then said.
The president recalled how Trump called Republicans to block the bill, tanking its chances.
'But he's wrong. Republicans in Congress must act because it's the right thing to do and Americans need it done,' the president added.
The president mentioned Trump by name - instead of calling him his predecessor - over the Republicans' 2017 tax legislation.

Biden also called out Trump for being insensitive about one of the country's many mass shootings - but messed up the details.
'And I remember in Atlanta, Half Moon Bay and Monterey Park. This guy said when the last shooting occurred, he said, they asked him about it, he said just get over it, get over it,' Biden said. 'Ughhh,' the president uttered.
'I'll be good,' he told the crowd.
The mass shootings in Atlanta, Half Moon Bay and Monterey Park impacted the Asian-American community.
In the days leading up to the January 15 Iowa caucuses, there was a school shooting in Perry, Iowa, which Trump brought up at a campaign rally.
'I want to send our support and our deepest sympathies to the victims and families touched by the terrible school shooting yesterday in Perry, Iowa,' Trump said.
'It's just horrible, so surprising to see it here,' he told the Mason City crowd. 'But have to get over it, we have to move forward.'
