Trump, 77, believes Biden, 81, could still be dumped by the Democrats because he is becoming more 'infirm'

Donald Trump still thinks it's possible that Democrats will ditch Joe Biden before November.

While the current and former presidents are on track for a rematch in the 2024 general election, Trump thinks that he might not end up facing Biden.

Instead, Trump told conservative political commentator and Reagan-era OPM deputy director Hugh Hewitt on Wednesday, Biden might be replaced with another, younger Democrat like Vice President Kamala Harris or California Gov. Gavin Newsom.

Despite this, Trump also accepted on Wednesday proposals to debate Biden at least two times – the first hosted by CNN on June 27 in Atlanta, Georgia and a second on September 19 hosted by ABC.

Trump claims that the Democratic Party will see before the election that they 'don't have a choice' other than to not have Biden run on their ticket.

Newsom has repeatedly said he has no intention of running against Biden in a primary and insists he doesn't have presidential aspirations this election cycle. Many Republicans say they don't believe the California governor.

Meanwhile, Harris is currently running to serve a second term as Biden's vice president.

'Do you think if his infirmity increases, they will dump him, Mr. President, at the convention, replace him with Kamala or Gavin or someone like that?' Hewitt asked, referencing the official nomination process at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Illinois in August.

'I do. I do,' Trump replied. 'I don't think they'll have a choice.'

'Will it be Gavin? Will it be Kamala or somebody else?' the radio host asked.

Trump decided to hone in on Newsom, claiming that the governor has destroyed California.

'I don't know. I mean, Gavin's a terrible governor, Gavin Newscum, he's a terrible governor. I think he does a terrible job,' the former president said.

'I have things out in California, and you know, it's so beautiful, everything,' he continued. 'The weather is the best. Everything is so good, but he just does a terrible job.'

In typical Trump fashion, the former president then went on a tangent about Newosm's mismanagement of water in California.

'You know, water, I had a deal for water to come down from the north,' Trump detailed. 'They have so much water, and they don't do it, because they're trying to protect a tiny, tiny little fish that hasn't made it.'

'And millions and millions of gallons of water is sent into the Pacific Ocean, routed right into the Pacific instead of coming down throughout California,' Trump concluded.
