The Danish royals are undergoing a joint state visit to Norway, but yesterday, Queen Mary of Denmark was photographed without her husband.
Earlier in the day, Mary, 52, appeared in high spirits as she joined King Frederik X, 52, and Queen Sonja of Norway, 86, for a walk along the harbour promenade in Oslo.
The mother-of-four was seen chatting with Frederik while donning chic attire, including a navy blue maxi skirt, white shirt, and straw fedora.
Later that day, after an outfit change into a striped top and jeans, Mary appeared at the same location alone and looked cheerful as she waved to onlookers.
It comes after rumours of marriage tensions, which have been in overdrive since Frederik's night out with Mexican socialite Genoveva Cassanova.

The mother-of-four changed out of her flowing skirt and into a comfortable pair of blue jeans, matched with a striped sweatshirt.
Mary put on a cheerful face and walked along the promenade, offering an awkward smile and wave to the camera.
It is unclear whether the pair will carry out all official engagements on the state visit together, or whether some will be solo.
The pair have attempted to put on a united front in the wake of the affair rumours that rocked the Danish Royal Family at the end of last year.
The couple, who had a turbulent end to 2023 when pictures were released of King Frederik and Mexican socialite Genoveva Casanova, put on a united front during their visit to the Østmarka woodlands
In October 2023, Mexican socialite Genoveva Casanova was pictured enjoying a night out with King Frederik in Madrid that carried on until the early hours - with Queen Mary notably absent.
The pair reportedly visited a Picasso exhibition together before they shared an intimate dinner at El Corral de la Moreria, Spanish magazine Lecturas reported. The publication reported that Genoveva and Frederik, 55, didn't leave the restaurant until 1 am.
Genoveva, 47, later denied the 'malicious' rumours questioning the nature of her relationship with King Frederik, insisting the pair aren't romantically involved. King Frederik hasn't commented on the subject.

During their earlier excursion, Frederik appeared to maintain a one metre distance from his wife
Despite Genoveva staunchly denying the rumours surrounding her and Frederik, they show no signs of slowing down, with Spanish magazine HOLA reporting that the King has returned to Madrid since the scandalous pictures were released, keeping a low profile.
The publication stated that it's unclear whether the King returned to Spain for 'private or agenda reasons'.
Elsewhere on Wednesday, Frederik and Mary continued their Norwegian tour with a visit to the picturesque Østmarka woodlands, with the couple photographed in front of the stunning Ulsrudvannet Lake.
The royals arrived in Norway on Tuesday on the day of their 20th wedding anniversary. But rather than share an intimate evening together to mark the milestone, it was straight to business with a lavish state dinner hosted by King Harald and Queen Sonja of Norway.
While Tuesday's event was a formal affair, the couple looked relaxed on Wednesday in dressed-down attire as they chatted together in the serene setting, before posing for pictures with Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mett-Marit of Norway.

During the couple's two-day visit to Norway, they've kept to a packed itinerary, leaving little time for the couple to reconnect despite their milestone anniversary.
Frederik and Mary arrived in Honnørbryggen aboard the Royal Yacht Dannebrog on May 14, before attending the state banquet held in their honour with Norway's King and Queen.
The trip to Ulsrudvannet Lake showed Queen Mary in a more relaxed ensemble than yesterday when the royal was pictured in an incredible dress for the glamorous evening event at the Royal Palace in Oslo.
As a nod to the couple's 20th wedding anniversary, Queen Mary wore a gown designed by Birgit Hallstein, the Danish designer who crafted her wedding dress in 2004.

Following their trip to the Østmarka woodlands, the couple attended a lunch with the prime minister and a tour of the Oslo waterfront.
The new photographs come after the couple had hit headlines due to claims that a newly released photograph of King Frederik and Queen Mary had been photoshopped.
Royal watchers questioned whether the official portrait, which was taken in the Royal Reception Rooms at Christiansborg Palace, had been doctored, claiming on social media that the 'stiff and awkward' photograph 'looks like they were photographed separately then put together'.
Responding to the controversy, the Danish Palace released a statement that read: 'The Royal’s official gala portrait has not been manipulated'.
