REVEALED: 'Nonpartisan' DOJ official promoted anti-Trump social media posts urging Republicans to 'go f**k yourselves and die' while fawning over how Nancy Pelosi eats Slim Jims

A lawyer at the Department of Justice's Inspector General office faces questions after a social media account bearing her name endorsed posts berating President Donald Trump and Republicans and praising Democrats.

Inspector General lawyers are traditionally sober nonpartisan professionals but a report from The Federalist uncovered blatantly partisan social media activity and donations from Deborah Zerwitz, one of the highest paid lawyers in the building.

Zerwitz, a former counsel to President Barack Obama’s former Assistant Attorney General Leslie Caldwell, is currently working to take down former DOJ officials who served under Attorney General Bill Barr and opened a probe into deaths at nursing homes during the coronavirus pandemic.

However, her intensions may not be entirely nonpolitical.

Zerwitz has made 35 separate political donations to Democrats since 2007 including the Biden campaign, according to the report.

DailyMail.com investigated a social media account on X with Zerwitz's name on it that was created in 2019 that has a long history of liking posts attacking Trump and Republicans.

The account with Zerwitz's name has not posted content on X, but a list of 1,340 likes on the account illustrate a profile of a deeply upset partisan Democrat after President Trump took office.

Some posts 'liked' by the accounts with her name on them called for Americans to 'send Donald Trump packing' and 'boot his Republican enablers out of office - at every level of government.'

Other posts celebrated Biden's victory over Trump in 2020, and praising Biden political appointees. Other likes featured posts praising New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, Hillary Clinton, and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and condemned Republicans in the Senate such Chuck Grassley, Josh Hawley, Ron Johnson, John Cornyn, and Ted Cruz.

Other social media likes included posts attacking Trump political appointees like Attorney General Bill Barr including one that said 'not a single career prosecutor at DOJ will miss Bill Barr.'

She also liked a post from Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin criticizing Attorney General Bill Barr, demanding that lawyers 'walk out en masse' in protest of his actions while in office.

One post endorsed by Zerwitz referred to 'Trump and his racist homophobic cult members' protesting their music choices on the campaign trail.

Posts endorsed by Zerwitz include notes describing Hakeem Jeffries as 'the Republican Party's worst nightmare,' and fawning praise over the way Pelosi eats a Slim Jim.

'Nancy Pelosi unwrapping a Slim Jim with her teeth and eating it while on the phone handling the insurrection is the most bad-ass multitasking I've ever seen,' read one post endorsed by Zerwitz.

Zerwitz also liked posts featuring Kamala Harris, including one praising the way she walked down a flight of airplane stairs.

One post liked by Zerwitz featured a pre-debate meme shared by late night host Jimmy Kimmel portraying Mike Pence as the cannibal Hannibal Lector and Harris as actress Jodie Foster in the movie Silence of the Lambs.

Surprisingly, Zerwitz also endorses posts concerning the Hatch Act, demonstrating she had some knowledge of the proper public activity for a government attorney, even as she was engaging in partisan behavior.

Zerwitz endorsed a post from Elizabeth Warren urging voters to 'send Donald Trump packing' and purge the government of his supporters.

'We need to boot his Republican enablers out of office - at every level of government,' Warren added.

Other posts presumably referring to Trump were more direct.

'I f***king hate him,' read one post endorsed by Zerwitz.

She also endorsed a post telling Trump's lawyers to 'go f**k yourself and die.'

'If it walks like a bunch of f**kers and it talks like a bunch of f**kers it is a bunch of f**kers,' read another post that she endorsed.

Zerwitz did not respond to a request for comment.

The reports of partisan activity from Justice Department lawyers raised concerns from the House Oversight Committee, as Chairman James Comer vowed to investigate.

'We cannot allow unelected bureaucrats to weaponize their positions in government without consequence,' he said in a statement to DailyMail.com.

'The House Oversight Committee will continue to conduct oversight to ensure Inspectors General and their staff operate in a nonpartisan manner to root out waste, fraud, and abuse in the federal government.'
