Christian YouTube star Sam Rader has been brutally slammed online over his shocking cheating admissions in the new Netflix docuseries about Ashley Madison - with users branding him as a 'sleazebag,' 'narcissist,' and 'attention seeker.'
Back in 2015, Sam's wholesome image as a devoted husband and father was shattered after it was revealed that he had signed up for the controversial cheating website Ashley Madison when someone hacked the platform and leaked the name of every member online.
While Sam, now 38, admitted at the time that he had signed up for the site, which was designed to help married people have affairs, he insisted that he never actually met up with anyone and that he did not cheat on his wife, Nia Rader, now 35.
Now, however, the vlogger has laid bare his infidelities in Netflix's explosive show Ashley Madison: Sex, Lies, And Scandal, admitting that not only was he unfaithful to Nia, but that he even came on to some of his wife's closest friends.

Now, however, the vlogger has laid bare his infidelities in Netflix's explosive show Ashley Madison: Sex, Lies, And Scandal
Viewers were left horrified by his shocking confessions, and almost immediately after the series premiered on Wednesday, X, formerly Twitter, was ablaze with fierce backlash towards Sam.
One user called him a 'narcissist' who was more worried about how his affairs would 'harm his image' than how they would affect his 'wife and family,' while another said he was a 'loser' who cheated while his wife was stuck 'doing the heavy lifting.'
'Wow, Sam Rader said the Ashley Madison hack would've "completely decimated his reputation, especially as a Christian." This narcissist only worried about the hack harming his image,' wrote one outraged viewer.
'He didn't even care about the implications his cheating and affairs would have on his wife and family.'
'Watching the Ashley Madison documentary and like, am I supposed to feel bad for these people? 'Cause I don't. Especially that Sam guy, what a loser,' scathed someone else.
'[Sam said], "Oh I wasn't ready for this responsibility so I had an affair." Meanwhile his wife is doing all the heavy lifting.'
'This Sam dude on Ashley Madison… I know he's still cheating. He has that creep vibe to him,' read a third tweet.
A fourth said, 'Netflix is trying reaaaaally hard to make us feel bad for these f**king losers but it's not working.'

Some people also slammed Nia for ultimately forgiving him, with one person calling her a 'doormat' and another branding the two of them as 'pathetic'
'I'm only 15 minutes into Ashley Madison Netflix [doc], I already hate all the sleazebags involved,' a different user added.
'The guy with the young, beautiful wife, whining about how stressful fatherhood was and wanted "more of the good stuff life has to offer" and his biggest regret? Using his real info.'
'This attention seeker bothers me to the core,' tweeted another person. 'Seeks women to have affairs with and then starts a YouTube channel that preaches about family, marriage, God, and love.
'And he stopped having affairs (supposedly) when he received more attention on YouTube. So damn hypocritical.'
Others slammed Nia for ultimately forgiving him, with one person calling her a 'doormat' and another branding the two of them as 'pathetic.'
'This Sam Rader a**hole tried to have an affair with one of his wife's close friends and she is still married to this loser? Have some self-respect,' another user wrote.
'Nia and Sam - all they care about is attention and money. Disgusting couple. Feel bad for the 2.5 million followers,' said someone else.
'That Sam guy is insane and I'm sorry but at some point the wife is just a doormat,' read a different post. 'How are you gonna stay with him after he continuously lied like that?'
'Sam and Nia should forget Jesus' address, they are the most pathetic attention seeking people in existence,' agreed another user.
Sam and Nia, who both grew up in Wills Point, Texas, started dating when they were in high school after bonding over their Christian faith.
They were together for five years before they tied the knot in 2009. They went on to welcome their daughter, Symphony, in July 2010 - but soon after her birth, Sam admitted that 'life became monotonous.'
In the Netflix show, he explained that the sudden 'responsibility' that came with welcoming his first child made him turn to Ashley Madison because he craved 'excitement' again.

'I love being a dad, I love my children, crazy about 'em. But it was just this sudden inundation of responsibilities. So much responsibility that I wasn't ready for,' he explained.
'Paying bills, keeping up with our finances, not getting in debt, making sure our mortgage got paid in time, making sure the electric didn't go off...
'I had imagined my life being exciting, but it wasn't exciting anymore. Life became monotonous.
'I longed for passionate romantic love. I didn't want to leave my family but I wanted something exciting in my life. I wanted more of the good stuff that life had to give.'
Sam, who was working nights as an ER nurse at the time, said he came across an ad for Ashley Madison one night and their tag line, 'Life is short. Have an affair,' caught his eye.
'When I signed up for Ashley Madison I made one of the biggest mistakes of my life,' he confessed.
Sam insisted that he didn't join the site because he was looking for sex, adding, 'I wasn't crazy horny. My wife was satisfying me.
'There was a lot I was seeking through Ashley Madison - mostly validation from other women.
'Ashley Madison was just a way for me to find women who'd be attracted to me so I could suck up their validation.'
The pair went on to welcome their son, Abram, in 2013, and one year later, they launched their YouTube channel, Sam and Nia, where they now have 2.5 million subscribers.
During the Netflix series, Sam explained that once their account took off, that gave him the 'validation' that he was looking for so he stopped using Ashley Madison.
'At that point I started enjoying my life again. It just brought an excitement to my life that I was seeking when I signed up for Ashley Madison,' he dished.
While 'carrying all those secrets' was 'hard for him,' Sam said he was prepared to take them to the grave and never tell Nia about his infidelities - but all of that changed when someone hacked the site in 2015.
At the time, every name that was signed up to Ashley Madison was leaked onto the web, and immediately, social media was flooded with posts about Sam's involvement.

He then told Nia but insisted he never got physical with another woman. Even so, she recalled feeling 'betrayed,' 'humiliated,' and 'infuriated'
He said he 'came close to passing out' when he saw that his membership on the site had been exposed, and he knew he had to confess to Nia before she found out by reading it online.
They were on their way to a convention in Seattle when he broke the news to her - but he told her that he never got physical with another woman, something he now admits was a lie.
'I felt a sudden sense of doom that my life was over,' he recalled.
Nia said she felt 'betrayed,' 'humiliated,' and 'infuriated,' adding, 'There was a lot of anger.
'I thought, "I've been a good wife and mother. There was just no reason. He's got everything he needs. I'm there for him in every way, what in the world is missing that he needed to go on this website for?"'
Even so, she said she 'believed' that he didn't get intimate with any other woman and immediately, 'her heart wanted to forgive him.'
The next night, Sam and Nia posted a video to their YouTube channel addressing the scandal.
'I did make an account on Ashley Madison. This has been brought to my wife's attention and she has forgiven me,' he said in it.
'I've sought forgiveness from God and he's forgiven me so I've been completely cleansed of this sin.
'Also, I need to be clear, I never met with a single person face-to-face through that website. I never had an affair with anybody ever.'
Looking back, Sam admitted everything he said in the 'phony' video was 'pretty much a lie' and that he was only trying to 'protect himself.'
'I was keeping a lot of secrets from Nia and the secrets that I was keeping went a lot deeper than Ashley Madison and a lot further back,' Sam revealed. 'I was in a panic, everything was toppling on me.'
During their drive back from Seattle, Sam said he ended up admitting everything that he had done to Nia.
On top of confessing that he did cheat on her, he also said he went to 'massage parlors and strip clubs' because they were 'easy access to pleasure' and even came on to 'a couple of their friends.'
'He had pursued someone who was special to me which led to her cutting herself out of my life,' Nia explained.

In seeing the 'changes' he made through marriage counseling, Nia said decided to give him another chance
'I lost this very close friend because of Sam. It was a lot to face. I started reeling inside, I felt like my world was crumbling.
'Every single aspect of my life up until this point felt like a lie. Everything that we had dreamed about... all of these very special [memories], our wedding day, the day we met, suddenly it was just over.
'It was years of betrayal, years that he had acted out in our marriage. It was hell. Something I had to wrestle with was, I wasn't enough for him. I worked so hard to be what I thought he wanted.'
After they got back home to Texas, they announced a hiatus from their YouTube channel.
Nia told him she 'needed space' because she 'couldn't be in the same room as him,' so Sam packed up his things and moved out.
He described 'seeing the destruction of what he had done' as 'so painful,' but said he never gave up on their marriage.
He recalled expressing his 'regret and remorse day after day,' and eventually, Nia decided to go marriage counseling with him.
And in seeing the 'changes' he made through that, she decided to give him another chance.
'I started to really think about selfish decisions that I made. Looking back, I realized it was all about me. I wasn't thinking about Nia, and that was not how I was going to live anymore,' Sam said.
'Seeing the responsibility that Sam took and the hours of counseling he sat through, no matter how mad I was at what he had done, I could see the shift that had happened in him,' Nia added.
In the end, Sam said that while 'there's a lot of things he regrets,' he's thankful for the 'hack' because it forced him to come clean and ultimately strengthened their relationship.
They have since welcomed two more daughters together, Juliet in 2016 and Josie in 2021.
'It was a starting point for the rest of our marriage,' Nia concluded.
