Organic tea brand Yogi was forced to recall nearly 900,000 tea bags after 'pesticide residues' were detected.
The specific products being taken off shelves are the Echinacea Immune Support tea bags, which are sold across the US, reports CNN.
It was a class III recall, which means exposure to the product 'is not likely to cause adverse health consequences,' according to the FDA.
The recalls affect 54,846 packs. With 16 tea bags per pack, the total number of individual products potentially impacted reaches 877,536.

These specific tea bags were initially recalled on March 12 by Yogi's parent company East West Tea.
No press release was issued by the FDA or Yogi to address this recall.

The FDA has also recently recalled a variety of yogurt-covered pretzels sold in California thought to have been contaminated with Salmonella, a foodborne illness that affects 1.3 million Americans a year.
