90 Day Fiancé star Big Ed has admitted that he does feel some 'regret' over how he handled his recent breakup with fiancée Liz Woods, after he cancelled their wedding behind her back and then broke the news to her via text message.
In an exclusive sit-down interview with DailyMail.com, which saw him break down in tears, the reality TV personality - whose real name is Ed Brown - said it's been hard to see his ex 'upset.'
But Big Ed said he did feel that he made the right decision about ending their tumultuous relationship - and has even met Liz's new boyfriend Jayson, who he described as 'very cute.'
Asked if, in hindsight, he wishes he had handled the situation differently, Ed, 59, replied: 'Always. You look back and think, "If I would have just done this," or I think of when I was with Rose in the Philippines... "If I would have just done this." I think in every situation with every girl I've been with, I've always seemed to get it backward.'

Big Ed has admitted that he did feel some 'regret' over how he handed his recent breakup with fiancée Liz Woods
Referring to the brutal way in which he ended things with Liz, he continued: 'I'm a big texter, so I don't regret ending the relationship, but I do regret how I handled it,' before sharing his thoughts on whether or not he thinks exes can be friends.
The former couple - who first met one another in 2021 - have exchanged 'some very light texting' and have even seen each other 'a few times' at public appearances, but Ed explained: 'For me, I really had to cut the cord.... just for your own survival.'
'But I'm getting to a place where you know, I met her boyfriend and he's very cute - obviously, so was I! But I'm happy for her and I hope that she's happy,' the TLC star added.
When asked if he's ever thought about leaving the show and pursuing a relationship away from the limelight, Ed revealed: 'Yeah, in the last eight months since I broke up with Liz, absolutely.'
He went on to explain how he had learned a lot from being in therapy, which he admitted 'saved' his life and helped him deal with the fame that had come with being a reality TV star.
'My therapist told me, "Look, relationships are hard enough, let alone being on TV and so forth,"' he said, before referring to his on-off relationship with Liz.
'A lot of the temperaments of our relationship, I really thought had a lot to do with being in the public eye, but, Liz and I actually had some amazing moments.
'We got to travel the world, well not the world because of COVID, but we got to go to Mexico and almost every single state in the United States from Seattle to Chicago, most recently we saw Elton John in Dallas.

Ed admitted that it had been hard to see Liz 'upset and heartbroken' over their split
The 59-year-old TV star said he didn't regret ending his relationship with Liz and just wanted her to be happy
'So we've had a lot that we've shared with each other that's not seen by the public, unfortunately. But, you know, they only get to see what they get to see.'
When asked if he would choose a woman over his reality TV career, Ed hinted that he might have met someone new already.
'Well, I'm kind of dealing with that right now. It's not a choice I've had to make, but if I did meet the one, I would walk away in a heartbeat,' he claimed, before describing himself as a 'hopeless romantic.'
He added: 'There's been a lot of really great things that have happened to me because of the show, and I'm just hoping that in some way - even through my bad behavior - I've taught somebody that's not how you should act or treat women in general.'
As he looked forward to his 60th birthday next year, Ed decided to share the 'best lesson' he had learnt when it came to the opposite sex and said: 'Women want what they can have, and what they can't have! They want it all!'
