She has recorded six solo albums as well as many cast albums, and performs regularly in her own solo concert act.

Peters first performed on the stage as a child actress and then a teenager in the 1960s, and in film and television from the 1970s.

Peters was born into an Italian-American family in Ozone Park in the New York City borough of Queens.

Also at the Chita River event were Brooke Shields and Kristin Chenoweth.

Shields, 58, looked like a golden goddess in a sparkly toga-inspired gown while Chenoweth, 55, wore a chic, baby blue number.

Posing on the red carpet at the awards ceremony dedicated to dance, the Pretty Baby actress paired her dazzling dress with nude pumps and a metallic bronze clutch.

She swept her bombshell waves to one side to showcase a pair of gold, chunky statement earrings and rocked a sultry, dark brown makeup look.

Shields — who shared stunning photos from the Thailand set of her Netflix romantic comedy Mother of the Bride earlier in the day — completed her look with a deep mauve glossy lip.

At the event, Shields threw her arm over Ira Mont's shoulder as they posed for a snap together.

The Broadway actor and professor looked dapper in a black suit and a colorful, patterned tie.

Elsewhere on the red carpet, Chenoweth was seen modeling a black jumpsuit with dramatic, baby blue ruffles layered across the one-shoulder neckline and cascading down her body.

At one point, she turned around to showcase the low scoop style on the back of her jumpsuit.

The Tony-winning Broadway star paired the bold garb with a pair of dark platform heels covered with sequins.

To show off the chic neckline of her jumpsuit, she threw up her platinum blonde hair in a polished, low ponytail and wore dainty stud earrings.

She wore two shiny diamond statement rings as her only other accessories.

For makeup, the Descendants actress opted for a dewy makeup look with peach-colored blush and a nude pink gloss.
