A 38-year-old woman has died following a fall at a Buenos Aires hospital where she worked at after she underwent a colonoscopy.
Brenda Berges was admitted to Domingo Mercante Hospital on May 13 and was put on anesthesia as required by the procedure's guideline.
Berges still under the effects of the anesthesia when she was placed on a stretcher that did not have a guardrail.
She was in her room and attempted to move in the stretcher when she fell to the floor.

Berges suffered a fracture in her cranium and the jaw and was treated for internal bleeding.
Berges spent two days at Domingo Mercante Hospital and was then transferred to Esteban Echeverría Bicentennial Hospital, where she was kept in observation for five more days before she succumbed to her injuries on Monday.
One of her friends told local online news outlet Diario Efecto that the staff at Domingo Mercante Hospital kept her family in the dark before they contacted them.
'They hid her two days until the family became aware that she was going to be relocate her to Bicentennial and that's where they had to what transpired,' the man said.
The Buenos Aires Health Ministry told La Nación newspaper that it was investigating the incident.
Berges was employed as a department administrator at Domingo Mercante Hospital.

'It is with deep pain that we inform the community that today our great colleague and worker at the Mercante Hospital, Brenda Berges, has passed away,' the medical facility said in a statement. 'We accompany the family and loved ones in this very difficult time.'
Berges' friends flooded social media networks, where she showered her with praise and called for justice.
'Such sad news, Brenda Berges is flying high and I hope you rest in peace,' Salo Sánchez wrote. 'I hope your holy father Xangô takes into account the injustice done to you.'
'You are more than a co-worker,' one of the Domingo Mercante Hospital said. 'You were a sister, aunt, partner. A tireless fighter who always found a way to smile despite adversity.'
