Celine Dion fans have been left sobbing and 'in shock' after Amazon Prime released an emotional new trailer for the upcoming I Am: Celine Dion documentary, which sees the Canadian singer break down in tears.

Another fan wrote: 'One minute seeing the trailer and I cant stop crying. Imagine watch all the documentary (sic).'

The comments on YouTube were similar as fans flooded the trailer with their love for the Think Twice hitmaker.

'This is just the trailer, but I'm already crying like a baby,' one person said, while another wrote: 'OMG that shot of her crying stabbed me and wounded me. All the best for you Celine.'

A third posted: 'I love you Celine with all my heart. I was teary-eyed while watching this,' and a fourth added: 'Didn't know someone was chopping onions here. We love you, Celine.'

In one shocking part of the trailer, a 911 call is heard being made over the backdrop of Las Vegas - where Celine performed an epic residency up until June 2019.

It's unsure when or why the 911 call was made, but it was likely due to her struggles with stiff person syndrome.

Celine revealed in December 2022 that she had been diagnosed with the degenerative disease.

Stiff person syndrome (SPS), also known as stiff-man syndrome, is a rare neurological disorder that causes progressive muscle stiffness and spasms.

The spasms can be painful and come and go, and they can worsen over time. The stiffness usually affects the torso muscles, but can also affect the arms and legs.

Towards the end of the trailer, the mother-of-three promises her fans that she will do anything to save her voice , which she describes as 'the conductor of my life.'

'When your voice brings you joy, you're the best of yourself. I need my instrument,' as various clips of Celine recording music and performing over the years plays out.

'I've been diagnosed with a very rare neurological disorder and I wasn't ready to say anything before, but I'm ready now,' she admits, before adding: 'I see my life and I love every piece of it.'

Referring to her live performances, she then says: 'It's not hard to do a show, you know, it's hard to cancel a show.

'I'm working hard every day, but I have to admit, it's been a struggle. I miss it so much. The people... I miss them.'

The trailer ends with her stating: 'If I can't run, I'll walk. If I can't walk, I'll crawl. But I won't stop, she won't stop.'

Back in December 2023, Celine's older sister Claudette revealed that her sibling no longer 'has control over her muscles.'

'She's working hard, but she doesn't have control over her muscles. What breaks my heart is that she's always been disciplined,' Claudette told 7 Jours.

'She's always worked hard. Our mother always told her, "You're going to do it well, you're going to do it properly."'

She continued: 'It's true that in both our dreams and hers, the goal is to return to the stage. In what capacity? I don't know.'

I Am: Celine Dion will be available to watch on Amazon Prime on June 25.
