While the pop sensation, 22, hasn't confirmed the song is about Jesse, insiders have told DailyMail.com the former actor, who at 32 is 10 years her senior, feels 'deceived' after Billie admitted to being attracted to women in the wake of their split.
'Billie stating on L'Amour de Ma Vie that her biggest lie was that she told Jesse he was the love of her life, in hindsight, is not the biggest lie at all,' an insider said. 'It was not even close.

Billie and Jesse were first pictured together in October 2022. They went their separate ways in May 2023 after seven months of dating
'Jesse doesn't believe that she suddenly started liking women when the relationship ended – it doesn't work like that.
'The song is a slap in the face. He feels deceived.'
DailyMail.com has contacted representatives for Billie and Jesse for comment.
Billie and Jesse were first pictured together in October 2022, before calling it quits seven months later.
At the time, a spokesman for the singer said: 'We can confirm Billie and Jesse did split amicably and remain good friends.'
They also denied the relationship ended due to cheating and confirmed the pair were now both single.
Before Jesse's relationship with Billie, he was in a six-year relationship with influencer Devon Lee Carlson between 2015 and 2021 - with whom Billie had a friendship.
The source continued: 'Jesse understands that Billie feels like he was using her to get back at Devon, but she is also failing to admit that she is messed up for going after Jesse when she was friends with his ex, Devon.
Since their split, Grammy winner Billie has been open about her sexuality, having revealed to Variety last year that she was 'attracted physically' to women
Last month, Billie said: 'I've been in love with girls for my whole life, but I just didn't understand - until last year, [when] I realized I wanted my face in a vagina'
'Those close to him feel Billie getting even closer with Devon after their split was intentional.
'She knew that this would get to him. He is sure that Devon helped her on this track and got her approval for being so blatant that this was a straight up diss track.'
The insider added: 'Billie was well aware of the impact her songs would have on Jesse and his career. She knows that he recently formed his own band and that it hasn't taken off the way he was hoping.
'Her fans have gone after him on social media and this is just not something that he wanted to deal with at this time in his life and career.'
Listeners have also been busy speculating that the track Wildflower is a nod to Devon, who has a phone case company called Wildflower Cases.
Billie doesn't hold back her feelings on L'Amour de Ma Vie, and sings: 'I wish you the best for the rest of your life / Felt sorry for you when I looked in your eyes / But I need to confess, I told you a lie / I said you / You were the love of my life / The love of my life.'
Other lyrics include: 'Did I break your heart? / Did I waste your time? / I tried to be there for you / Then you tried to break mine.'
Billie's fans have been reading into the lyrics from her new album - with some also convinced that Wildflower is about Jesse's ex-girlfriend Devon Lee Carlson
At the time of their split, a rep for Billie said that she and Jesse 'remain good friends'
Since their split, Grammy winner Billie has been open about her sexuality, having revealed to Variety last year that she was 'attracted physically' to women.
In a later interview with the publication, she said she thought it 'was obvious' while reflecting on the world's reaction to her admission.
At the time, she said she wasn't really a fan of the concept of coming out, explaining: 'I'm just like, why can't we just exist?
'I've been doing this for a long time and I just didn't talk about it… whoops. I saw all the articles [and] was like, "Oh, I guess I came out today… OK, cool."
'But it's exciting to me because I guess people didn't know, so it's cool that they know. I'm nervous talking about it… but I am for the girls.'
She alludes to her sexuality on Lunch, the second track on the new album, which dropped on Friday, revealing it was monumental in helping her discover 'who she is.'
'That song was actually part of what helped me become who I am, to be real,' she told Rolling Stone.
'I wrote some of it before even doing anything with a girl, and then wrote the rest after.
'I've been in love with girls for my whole life, but I just didn't understand - until last year, [when] I realized I wanted my face in a vagina.'
Fans were quick to brand the steamy new song a 'lesbian anthem' and a huge 'win for the gays.'
