Charlamagne Tha God laced into the hosts of The View for pressuring him to endorse Biden in a recent interview with Megyn Kelly on her podcast.
During his appearance on The View, Charlamange was ambushed by the show's hosts, who demanded to know why he refused to endorse Biden in 2024.
'You have a massive platform that reaches millions of people,' Sunny Hostin said, addressing the famous host of The Breakfast Club.
'You endorsed Biden in 2020,' she continued. 'This time around you say you're not going to endorse anybody. Charlamange, this is not the time to sit this one out.'
Charlamange Tha God laced into the hosts of The View for pressuring him to endorse Biden in a recent interview with Megyn Kelly on her podcast
During his appearance on The View, Charlamange was ambushed by the show's hosts, who demanded to know why he refused to endorse Biden in 2024. When Charlamange mentioned third party candidates, Whoopi said, 'I will beat your behind'
Charlamange responded by pointing out that he never said that he was going to sit out the election and that he was definitely going to vote.
'I like to focus on issues, not individuals,' he said, before being interrupted by Hostin, who grimly repeated, 'Why not endorse? Why not endorse Biden?'
Charlamange made it clear that he considered Trump to be a threat to democracy, and then he observed how there were only two choices for president. But he balked at the idea of explicitly endorsing Biden.
'Why do y'all need us to say this if we don't feel comfortable saying it?' Charlamange asked with reference to celebrity endorsements of Biden.
Later in his appearance on The View, the radio host said, 'The reality is I think both candidates are trash.'
At one point, View host Sunny Hostin interrupted Charlamange, asking, 'Why not endorse? Why not endorse Biden?'
'The reality is I think both candidates are trash,' Charlamange said of Biden and Trump
At another point, host Alyssa Farah Griffin called Charlamange a 'double-hater,' a strange designation that baffled him.
Griffin elaborated by saying that a double-hater was someone who didn't like Biden or Trump.
'I thought that was just called being an American nowadays,' Charlagmange retorted, before adding, 'if you look at the polls, people don't seem to be pleased with either one of them.'
Whoopi Goldberg rambled about not understanding why Democrats are mad at Joe Biden. Then she said that there were only two candidates, at which point Charlamange said there were third party candidates as well.
'I will beat your behind,' Goldberg replied.

Host Alyssa Farah called Charlamange a 'double-hater,' a designation that he took exception to. He retorted that according to the polls, a majority of Americans aren't pleased with either candidate
The day after his appearance on The View, Charlamange joined Megyn Kelly on her podcast.
'I saw you on The View yesterday where they were trying to zero in on you and Biden and this presidential race,' Kelly said.
'Those ladies really, really, really wanted you to say that you endorsed him,' Kelly continued.
Then the podcast host asked Charlamange why he was reluctant to endorse Biden, despite making it abundantly clear that he wasn't voting for Trump.
'Simply because I'm not a fan,' he replied.
'People think that me not wanting to endorse means that I'm not voting, which I think is the strangest thing ever,' Charlamange said, seemingly in reference to Hostin's comments on The View.
'I'm not a fan,' Charlamange said of Biden when asked why he refused to endorse him explicitly
Then Charlamange mentioned his unusual exchange with Whoopi Goldberg in his chat with Kelly.
'There was another moment in that conversation where I just said, "Hey, there's third-party candidates." Whoopi told me she'll beat my behind if I bring up third-party candidates.'
'I just think it's kind of strange where we are as a culture and as a society where it's almost like there's either one of two extremes.'
Kelly observed how the hosts of the daytime talk show were 'really pressuring' Charlamange to endorse Biden.
Megyn Kelly asked Charlamange if he'd considered voting for RFK JR. Charlamange revealed that he has been exploring third-party options since 2016
'They wanted you to go to your audience and say, "Vote for Biden," and it was very strange. Like, you've got some magic wand that's going to turn this thing.'
'Exactly,' Charlamange agreed, before musing that he didn't 'think the two-party system has been the best thing for us here in America.'
Kelly asked the radio host if he would consider voting for RFK Jr., which prompted Charlamange to reveal that he's explored all the third-party candidates, including Marianne Williamson and Dr. Cornel West.
'I've been looking at third parties since 2016,' Charlamange said.
He added, 'I'm actually shocked that there hasn't been a third-party candidate that hasn't been able to come along and really galvanize people, especially since American seems to be so disappointed in the choices that we have now.'
Later in the interview, Charlamange reflected on the public's disillusionment with the machinery of politics.
'We are the exhausted majority... It's not just about being tired of Democrats or being tired of Republicans. People are just tired of politics period,' he said.
'If these parties want people to be more energized about their candidates, maybe they should just run better candidates. I don't think it's rocket science.'
