Madonna and her boxer boyfriend Josh Popper have ended their year-long romance

The former couple met through the 65-year-old superstar's son, David Banda, who was taking boxing lessons from Popper, 30, at Bredwinners gym in New York City.

'Madonna has barely seen Josh for months because her schedule was so hectic. Things just fizzled out,' a source told The Sun.

The insider added: 'There is genuinely no bad blood — they’re still fond of each other. At the moment their relationship doesn’t feel feasible and they’ve cooled things off, but they are staying friends.'

Their split comes seven months after the Queen of Pop kicked off her long-awaited Celebration Tour at London's O2 Arena in October 2023.

She wrapped the tour earlier this month with a massive free concert in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The pair were first romantically linked in early 2023 following her breakup with back-up dancer, Ahlamalik Williams, in 2022.

Last March, she supported him during one of his boxing match in New York as she cheered him on from the audience.

Over their short-lived relationship, Popper remained by the mom-of-six's side battle with a serious bacterial infection, which required her to stay in the ICU for multiple days, last summer.

He also joined her on trips around the world, including one to Portugal for her birthday last August.

In December, Popper joined the Vogue singer on stage during her Celebration Tour stop in Brooklyn, where they shared a kiss in front of a crowd exceeding 14,000 people.

Since then, the duo hasn't been seen together in public.

Popper, who had a brief stint on the reality show Summer House, and Madonna made their relationship Instagram official in February 2023.

Reports of her split from Popper come after she was seen with hanging out with singer Eric Labat at a star-studded soiree in New York City.

Madonna's love life has been marked by a series of high-profile relationships.

She was married to actor Sean Penn from 1985 to 1989, and then to director Guy Ritchie from 2000 to 2008, with whom she shares a son, Rocco.

Madonna has also been romantically linked to several younger partners, including dancer Brahim Zaibat and model Kevin Sampaio.

In recent years, her love life has remained relatively private, with occasional rumors and speculation about new relationships.

Meanwhile, the singer has been back home in New York for less than a couple of weeks after wrapping up her tour.

Originally scheduled to commence on July 15, 2023, in Vancouver, Canada, the Celebration Tour faced a three-month delay due to Madonna's battle with a serious bacterial infection in late June, resulting in a stint at the intensive care unit (ICU).

The retrospective tour began with a four-night stint at London's O2 Arena starting on October 14, before traveling across Europe until early December.

It then made its way to the U.S. and Canada, starting with shows at Brooklyn's Barclays Center and continuing across North America until mid-April, followed by a series of concerts in Mexico City.

The tour concluded on May 4 with a monumental free concert at Rio de Janeiro's Copacabana Beach, drawing an astonishing 1.6 million fans.

This historic event is now hailed as the biggest standalone concert ever, according to the Economic Times.
