True crime fanatics flocked to Gilgo Beach suspect Rex Heuermann's house and shared their theories about the gruesome crimes, as cops searched it once again.
Lori Mattza of Chicago was so excited to see Heuermann's Massapequa Park home that she accidentally drove her rental car right through the crime scene.
'I drove right up to the house. I didn't know I wasn't supposed to go,' she said looking a bit confused. 'I was trying to get video for my true crime YouTube Channel.
Mattza said it took her hours to drive to Long Island from downtown Manhattan after dropping her daughter off at her new job and dealing with holiday traffic.
'My husband doesn't know I'm here and I may be missing my flight tonight but oh god yes it was worth coming out.'
She compared Heuermann to the notorious serial killer John Wayne Gacy and said she believes there are more victims besides the four Heuermann is charged with murdering.

'I think there are body parts buried in the house and I think he is setting them on a wild goose chase to get all the little trophies he left behind,' she said.
True crime junkie Nick Greystone, who spoke to DailyMail.com last summer when Heuermann was first arrested was back on the block again this week, 'twice' he said, since police executed a second search warrant.
'I was shocked that they came back. What could they have possibly have found? And what is possibly going on with the case that we don’t know.'
The musician and podcaster said: 'I feel like it has to be something of significance to come back to a crime scene that is basically closed. The family lived here for 10 months.'
Lauren DeFranco drove out from Port Washington despite having a broken foot.
'I wanted to come out and see what they were taking out of the house and where they were searching. What they are looking for and what kind of new evidence is turning up.
Her ankle that was wrapped in a bandage, DeFranco walked carefully, and she assessed the scene: 'They put tents out. They are obviously looking for something specific.'
The former Channel 7 news journalist, recalled being at the news conference former Suffolk County Police Commissioner Richard Dormer gave when he first made the announcement of the Gilgo Beach Serial Killer more than a decade ago.
'I remember him saying we don't want anyone to think we have a Jack Ripper running around,' she said.
DeFranco hobbled by the barricades that were put up, as she shared her theory on the case and questioned why search crews are back after all these time.
'I think someone is talking,' she said. 'You always hear about a jailhouse snitch or someone may be implicated in the crime is talking we don’t know at this point.
She added: 'The lawyers are saying the family is stunned but we can only take that for what it is worth.
'We don’t want to victimize a victim but we also don’t know what was going on in this home for the last 20 years.'
Rob Palomba and Dana Gerasimovich drove past the block to get a glimpse of Heuermann's home on Friday sometime after 6.30pm when the search crews were long gone.

They rolled down their window and told DailyMail.com, 'we just bought a house and now everyone is searching around his house again.'
'A little creepy,' Dana said.
'It doesn't bother me too much,' Rob added. 'We closed about a week and a half ago and a few days after that the cops are back at the house,
'My mom looked at me and said that house is about two minutes from where you just bought.'
He laughed. 'We are happy to be here. Fun time.'
Heuermann's alleged victims are Melissa Barthelemy, Megan Waterman, Amber Costello and Maureen Brainard- Barnes.
Cops and true crime sleuths fear he may have killed up to 11 women between 1996 and 2011 before dumping their bodies on the lonely strand that gave the crimes their name.
Heuermann was arrested in July 2023 and remains in jail awaiting trial.
