An American woman who tried English mustard for the first time stunned viewers as she quickly learned that when it comes to the fiery classic condiment - less really is more.
Desarae, from Pennsylvania, U.S., is a content creator and cookbook author that regularly shares recipes, food reviews and challenges with her 600,000 followers on TikTok.
In a video uploaded to her account @cooking_comedy_chaos in March, the food enthusiast thought to try out and review an English condiment she's never had before.
Armed with a jar of Coleman's Mustard - a classic dinner-table staple founded in Norwich in 1814 - the fearless foodie set out to make a ham and mustard sandwich in her kitchen.
In the footage, she confidently declared: 'I've been told about 5,000 times to be very careful because it's super spicy, but I love spicy, so I'm not gonna be as careful as all my British friends wanted me to be.'
Desarae, from Pennsylvania , U.S., who tried a classic English condiment for the first time, learned the hard way that less is truly more - with Brits left gobsmacked by her daring approach
Having decided to try the condiment by making a ham and mustard sandwich, Desarae prepares a slice of white bread and brandishes a tea spoon.
Ignoring numerous warnings, Desarae scooped a generous amount of the potent mustard with the teaspoon, spreading it thickly across a slice of white bread as if it were butter or jam.
Satisfied with her creation, she topped it with sliced ham and folded the slice into a more concentrated sandwich.
The moment she took a bite, Desarae's eyes widen in surprise, before she grabs a glass of water to gulp down, as she questions if there's horseradish in the mustard.
As tears streamed down her face and she struggled to catch her breath, the intensity of the mustard became all too clear - yet, undeterred, she went in for another bite.
She said: 'My nasal passages are cleared out. I can't even be mad at anybody but me. That's the problem. It's got fire flavour - and I'm definitely going back in for another bite because it tastes so good.'
Despite the spicy surprise, Desarae's enthusiasm remained unscathed, earning her admiration from thousands of individuals from her British audience.
In the comments below the video, one person wrote: 'I’m British and love English mustard… but oh man you really loaded that sandwich,' which another said, 'I was like okay. She'll be ok. And then she folded the bread in half.'

Another bemused Brit said, 'When I saw the amount she added to the bread, I stuck around thinking this is gonna get good. I was not disappointed,' while a fourth wrote, 'One of my friends called it "British wasabi".'
One horrified Brit wrote, 'Anyone else from the UK shouting at the screen when we saw how much she put on!' while a final viewer said, 'My eyes are watering as your spreading it on the bread, British mustard is lethal.'
In February, an American tourist who had never tried British food before was left in disbelief after trying a Greggs sausage roll - giving it a 9.8/10.
David Turek, 26, from Chesapeake, Virginia, has documented himself eating the classic British food for the first time and his reaction to the savoury pastry snack is priceless.
A video shows David taking the meat-filled pastry out from the classic paper bag and his eyes lighting up as he takes a bite.
