A pet owner has been left devastated after her dog was run over and killed by a car while at the groomers.
Chanelle Sarandis took her six-year-old cavoodle Luna and second dog Billy for a trim at the groomers in Victoria on May 11.
Ms Sarandis revealed in a devastating TikTok video that she had received a call hours later informing her that Luna had been in a terrible accident.
'I had to pick up my dog Billy, who was at the same groomers with her [Luna] and the only thing that I got to take home that day was a lead and her collar,' she said.

Luna had been placed in a pen without a lead after she was given a trim.
She then managed to escape while staff were returning another dog to their pet owner at the gate.
A young boy opened the front door of the grooming business and Luna managed to dart outside and run onto the road.
Luna was rushed to the vet, but the beloved dog could not be saved.
'My partner and some of our family went to the vet and said our goodbyes to Luna,' Ms Sarandis told Yahoo.
Ms Sarandis said she has been left devastated by the loss and never imagined her Luna would meet such a grim end at the groomers.
'We miss Luna so much, she shouldn't have died like this,' she said.
'I'm overwhelmed, shocked, anxious and distraught to the point I nearly vomit. I've cried so much that I couldn't see.
'And most of all heartbroken. I miss my little girl, I am taking it day by day and grieving. I am also very scared and stressed for when I need to take Billy to get groomed — but will need to make sure there are safety procedures in place.'
Luna (pictured) had been dropped off at the groomers for a few hours, when the dog managed to get out of a pen it had been placed in, before she managed to leave the business through the front door
Ms Sarandis urged groomers to put in place stricter safety measures to ensure dogs are kept from wandering out of their pens.
'Groomers really need to have things in place for dogs not to get out. We're in a lot of pain,' she said.
'I do feel this definitely could have been avoided. I believe if Luna didn't go to this groomers she would still be alive.'
Social media users were left shocked and shared their condolences with Ms Sarandis.
'I'm so sorry. How devastating,' one said.
'This is absolutely heart breaking, so sorry for your loss,' another wrote.
'I can't even imagine the pain,' a third added.
