A McDonald's worker has revealed why customers should never order from the chain's McCafe machines.
The staff member claimed in an unearthed Reddit comment the machines are 'routinely neglected' as employees aren't trained to properly clean them meaning the insides are often filled with 'black soot'.
A viral TikTok video, with over two million views, reposted the comment with dozens of others asking fast-food workers what customers should never order from their restaurant.
The slideshow of 31 replies features three responses from McDonald's workers.
'I work for Mcdonald's and make sure everyone that matters to me never orders anything that comes out of the 'McCafe' machine as these are routinely neglected,' one user wrote in the post shared by @webaddieshere.
A TikTok user known as @webaddieshere posted a video slideshow on May 14 that featured comments made by a person who claimed to be a McDonald's employee in a Reddit post
'Not only are staff not properly trained in cleaning and maintenance, at almost every McDonalds I've had experience with, the managers in charge of training them don't know f*** all either.'
The Reddit user, who worked at a McDonald's in Alberta, added that the machines need 'special brushes to be cleaned' but they hadn't seen any of the restaurants 'have the proper ones.'
'All McCafe beverages run through a horrifically dirty machine. We're talking about 5+ inches of uncleaned, liquid b******* making up its inside parts,' they added.
It attracted replies from one user who claimed to be a McDonald's employee in Canada and claimed other drinks appliances were not cleaned properly either.
'The milkshake machine is not cleaned every day. The fountain drink dispenser is also rarely cleaned properly,' the commenter wrote.

McDonald's claims on its website that it has implemented safety protocols in all its restaurants.
'Strict food safety standards and protocols are embedded in everything we do, from food sourcing, menu development, packaging and distribution to the running of our restaurants,' the site states.
'We are embracing technology and working closely with our suppliers and expert partners to improve efficiency and reduce risks.'
The restaurant also claimed on its Food Safety page that members also share 'knowledge internally' through communication and training.
According to the alleged employee, the drinks that McDonald's customers should never order are McCafe beverages that are made with the machine
A TikToker known as @blexican_shay83 went viral after they discussed the truth behind some of McDonald's pre-made products, one of them being chicken nuggets
More McDonald's workers have since shared their own stories on TikTok about what it's like to work at the fast-food restaurant chain.
A TikToker (@blexican_shay83) who works at McDonald's posted a video in September 2023 about what the restaurant chain's products look like before they're cooked.
The employee showed off a package of 12 pre-made scrambled egg patties, 10 pancakes, and bags of egg-sausage vegetable mix used for breakfast burritos.
According to the user, the only thing McDonald's workers do with the pre-made products is 'nothing but warm them up.'
Another pre-made McDonald's product is chicken nuggets, which are 'partially fried and quickly frozen' before they are shipped out to the fast-food chain's restaurants.
