Hunter Biden's baby mama to release bombshell memoir on the president's granddaughter and her life with his son during the Democratic convention

Lunden Roberts, the woman who had an out-of-wedlock child with Hunter Biden, will release a tell-all book about their relationship amid this summer's Democratic National Convention. 

On Tuesday, Skyhorse Publishing announced Out of the Shadows: My Life Inside the Wild World of Hunter Biden, which will be released on August 20. 

The book teases a 'rollercoaster ride of a relationship' between Hunter and Roberts, who gave birth to five-year-old Navy Joan in August 2018. 

'He was sitting there wearing nothing but parrot boxer briefs, organizing his pipes on his Rosemont Seneca desk,' Roberts wrote, in a brief excerpt shared. 'I was sitting in Barack Obama's actual chair from the Senate floor.' 

'I took another look at Hunter - this kind, intense, and startlingly transparent man - and thought, "this is definitely a guy I want to get to know better,"' Roberts recalled.

The publishing house teased that Roberts' book will touch on 'the drug cook working in Rosemont Seneca's kitchen' and 'strip clubs where Hunter might try to the pole himself.' 

Roberts was reportedly working at the Mpire strip club in Washington, D.C. during her brief fling with the current first son. 

It teases that Roberts protected Hunter 'from would-be terrorists in New York City' and described an altercation between the baby mama and a 'crazed MMA fighter' involving two guns. 

The book will reveal 'dozens of other stories that make the laptop debacle seem routine.' 

The relationship between Hunter and Roberts happened in late 2017 amid a particularly tumultuous in the younger Biden's life, as he became addicted to crack cocaine after his brother Beau's 2015 death. 

He had also been dating Beau Biden's widow Hallie.

In his own memoir, Beautiful Things, Hunter admits that besides Hallie the 'other women I'd been with during rampages since my divorce were hardly the dating type.'

He wrote, 'We would satisfy our immediate needs and little else. I'm not proud of it.'

'It's why I would later challenge in court the woman in Arkansas who had a baby in 2018 and claimed the child was mine - I had no recollection of our encounter,' the first son admitted. 'That's how little connection I had with anyone. I was a mess, but a mess I've taken responsibility for.' 

Once paternity was established President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden acknowledged their seventh grandchild publicly in July 2023. 

'Our son Hunter and Navy's mother, Lunden, are working together to foster a relationship that is in the best interests of their daughter, preserving her privacy as much as possible going forward,' the Bidens said in a statement to People magazine.

'This is not a political issue, it's a family matter,' the statement continues. 'Jill and I only want what is best for all of our grandchildren, including Navy.'

During Tuesday's White House press briefing, press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked about Roberts' forthcoming book and if the president had met Navy Joan.

'I don't have anything to share,' Jean-Pierre told reporters.
