A content creator appeared head over heels for her Hinge date who asked her to marry him while they were walking in Madison Square Park.
Annika Osterlund, 21, posted a viral TikTok video on May 27 of her saying yes to a proposal made by a man during their first date.
Osterlund's date, whom she did not identify in the video, got down on one knee and popped the question while the emotional TikToker smiled.
The newly engaged couple happily walked away, but Osterlund revealed in a follow-up TikTok video that she and her Hinge date were not getting married.
'I should probably preface this by saying we were both in on this; we decided to do it together,' she wrote in the comment section of her proposal video.
Content creator Annika Osterland, 21, posted multiple TikTok videos yesterday that centered around a fake proposal that she and her Hinge date did at Madison Square Park
Osterlund has regularly posted videos on her YouTube (@AnnikaOsterlund) and TikTok (@bigfishenergy) accounts for nearly 10 years.
The Massachusetts native currently lives in New York, which is where her Hinge date jokingly asked her to marry him.
The two of them were casually walking in Madison Square Park while Osterlund was holding a small flower bouquet before her date got down on one knee.
Many park goers surrounding the two of them began to cheer and clap for them both after they heard her say yes to his fake marriage proposal.
Osterlund's date then raised one fist in the air right after they shared what she revealed in another TikTok video was their first kiss.
'If you saw me get engaged in Madison Square Park yesterday, know that was a first Hinge date, and when we kissed after I said yes, that was the first time we had ever kissed,' she wrote in the video.
The unidentified man in Osterlund's video had a smile just as big as Osterlund's, and a park-goer on a bench even high-fived him after the proposal.
Osterlund and her date appeared to be getting along great in the video, but their possible love story may already be over.
Osterlund admitted in the comment section of one of her videos that the proposal was her idea, but he bought the ring himself
Osterlund actively engaged with the comments left by TikTokers on the videos she posted yesterday, particularly those wrote about her and her Hinge date's joke.
According to the TikTok user, her Hinge date lives on the other side of the country.
'My man actually lives in San Diego, so I may never see him again, which makes it even more insane,' she wrote yesterday in a comment section.
One person who commented on the proposal video even asked Osterlund how many times her date has done this, to which she said 'probably never.'
Osterlund also revealed that he had bought the ring himself, but she was unsure where he had gotten it.
Several TikTokers who commented on the videos congratulated her on what they assumed was a real engagement.
A few TikTokers were hoping that Osterlund and her unidentified date were still going out. However, she confirmed that he lives in California and will probably not see him again
'That's such a cure first kiss. You have the mental prep and it's also silly and goofy,' a commenter wrote in her proposal video.
TikTokers hardly wrote about the fact he was a Hinge date, but one person wanted to find a successful relationship on the dating app.
'This makes me want to get back on Hinge so that I can find someone to do this with,' the commenter wrote.
Other users praised the proposal on her three TikTok videos she posted yesterday, and one person even wished Osterlund and her fake fiance have 'a long thriving relationship.'
