Donald Trump is scheduled to be sentenced on July 11th at 10 am, just four days before the start of the Republican National Convention, where he will accept the GOP nomination for president.
Trump on Thursday was found guilty on all 34 felony counts of falsifying business records.
It will be up to Justice Juan Merchan to decide whether his punishment will include jail time.
The former president will remain released on his own recognizance until the sentencing date, Judge Merchan said.
Trump is expected to appeal the verdict in the hush-money trial. But he cannot official file an appeal until after the sentencing date.
Meanwhile, Republicans will gather in Milwaukee on July 15th to nominate Trump for president. The convention is scheduled to go through July 18th.
Trump, as the nominee, is expected to address the convention in person on its final night.

Each count carries the possibility of up to four years in prison and the terms for each count would almost certainly run concurrently.
But, as a non-violent, first-time offender, prison time is not mandatory.
Trump could receive a sentence of probation, with no prison time. That would require him to regularly report to New York City’s Probation Department and he could be jailed immediately if he committed additional crimes.
He could also be ordered to perform community service.
Home arrest is also an option.
Trump, as a former president, has a Secret Service detail, which would complicate a prison sentence.
It is unclear if Trump would have to report to prison immediately if Merchan sentences him to jail time given the expectation he will appeal.
An appeals process would take months and could go well past the November 5th election.
The former president was defiant in the face of his conviction.
'The real verdict is going to be November 5th by the people and they know what happened here and everybody knows what happened here,' he said outside the courtroom.

Thursday's verdict comes after five weeks of dramatic evidence and 22 witnesses being quizzed on the stand.
Prosecutors told of a plot by Trump to 'corrupt' the 2016 election by hiding a $130,000 hush money payment by his 'fixer' Michael Cohen to porn star Stormy Daniels.
Daniels alleged that she and Trump had sex a decade earlier, which he has denied.
