A mom-of-two who got a free luxury sofa for her children's room has been left 'mortified' after making a shocking discovery.
Kara Thompson, from Nashville, thought she had hit the jackpot when husband Myles, 30, who runs a junk removal company, scored a swanky-looking green velvet sofa.
But the 29-year-old mom, who works as a mother-baby nurse, ended up getting much more than she bargained for after placing it in her kids' room.
The couple later decided to research the true value of the mystery freebie - which is when they stumbled across its true purpose.

But the 29-year-old mom, who works as a mother-baby nurse, ended up getting much more than she bargained for after placing it in her kids' room
Kara shared her experience on social media as she warned people to do their research before accepting items.
She said in the clip: 'Before you accept free furniture or buy certain furniture this is your sign to look it up first...
'My husband owns a junk removal company and these people paid him to take away a couple of couches and a chair. It was a super nice $2 million house and they're in perfect shape.'
The mom said that she and her husband thought that one of the couches, which was covered in green velvet, was ideal for a children's room and moved it in immediately.
Speaking of her kids' reaction, she said: 'They're so excited, they're freaking out, they've already put their blankets and pillows on it.'
But it was not long before things took a turn.
'I come downstairs and my husband is like, "we've got to get that out of their room right now."
'In my brain I'm freaking out like "oh my gosh, is it covered in bedbugs or something?"
The couple later decided to research the true value of the mystery freebie - which is when they stumbled across its true purpose
'He had just pulled it up online because he was like "I want to see how much this thing was." It was a sex couch.
'The pillow you can unzip to discretely hide your toys. It's got straps.'
Kara said she and her husband were 'immediately mortified.'
Elaborating further since, the bemused mom said: 'We immediately took it out of their room. We were shocked!
'We always clean and check furniture before bringing it inside but the logo for the sex couch was on the side.
'And [we] didn't feel comfortable keeping something intended for that purpose in our children's room.'
The couple moved the sofa straight into the spare bedroom until they work out what to do with it.
Kara said: 'We haven't decided what to do yet, as of now it's in our guest room until we figure it out.
'[We told the kids] that we would get them another couch but they couldn't use this one.'
'I totally don't mind sex furniture and glad it's out there for people but we personally don't want it in their room,' she shared
Viewers have since flooded to Kara's video to express their shock at the discovery.
One person said: 'Totally thought you were heading towards bed bugs or something and def not sex couches.'
'I never knew they made couches JUST for sex??? I feel so prude and innocent… UHM WHAT.'
Another person joked: 'Here I thought the warning was going to be about recalls for safety or toxic materials.'
'That is NOT where I saw this story going took a sharp 180 degrees,' added another user.
Talking about the online reaction, Kara added: 'Some people agree with us that it seems inappropriate to keep it in our kids' room.
'Some people think we should just keep it and it's not a big deal.
'I totally don't mind sex furniture and glad it's out there for people but we personally don't want it in their room.
'The good old bed has never failed us yet personally so we don't need it ourselves!'
