Shocking moment woman brutally hurls two adorable puppies into dumpster before strutting away from scene

A Louisiana woman has been accused of animal cruelty after police said she was filmed hurling two puppies into a dumpster.

Jasmine Mouton, 22, was arrested on Monday after the sickening footage emerged.

She was booked into St Landry Parish Jail along with her alleged accomplice 22-year-old Kendall Tyler a day after the offence.

Distressing video appears to show Mouton stomping towards the dumpster in Opelousas with one of the puppies under arm.

She grips the defenseless animal under its two front paws and angrily flings open the dumpster lid.

Alleged accomplice Kendall Tyler, 22, was also arrested after being identified by police as the man in the clip

She then hurls the dog inside, causing it to land with a thud. 

She then scoops up the other animal and flings it into the trash while muttering to her companion.

Police said the man in the video is Tyler, who does nothing to intervene before the two walk off, abandoning the dogs but leaving the dumpster lid open.

Miraculously the puppies escaped unscathed after being discovered by a neighbor, WBRZ2 reports.

St Landry Parish Sheriff's Office called on the public for help identifying the culprits.

Mouton and Tyler were arrested together at the same address shortly afterwards.
