Former University of Wisconsin chancellor Joe Gow has revealed how much money he and his wife make from posting adult content on OnlyFans.

Professor Joe Gow, 63, was fired last year from his role as chancellor of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, but retains his role as a communications professor.

Accordingly, his salary plummeted from more than $250,000 annually, to about $92,000.

While he took a pay cut when he lost his chancellor role, Gow and his wife of a decade Carmen Wilson, 56, now make 'a couple thousand dollars' a month on OnlyFans, they told The Free Press.

The couple, who posts online under the username 'Sexy Happy Couple,' now has more than 10,000 subscribers who pay either $7.99 or $9.99-a-month to see their content.

Their YouTube channel offers videos of them cooking vegan meals with porn stars before they have sex with them. The more explicit content goes on their OnlyFans account.

Gow claims he and his wife spent over $80,000 to produce their content.

The educator said he decided to post the videos online as he thought about retiring as UW chancellor.

But last December, Gow learned he had been fired after 16 years as chancellor over his adult content.

Then in March, Gow says interim Chancellor Betsy Morgan sent him a report accusing him of producing pornography using university technology as well as 'unethical and potentially illegal behavior.'

Despite still technically being employed by the university, Gow is not currently allowed to set foot on campus as he remains on paid leave after a complaint was filed to have his tenured status reviewed.

Later this year, he will be the subject of a hearing, which will determine whether or not he will be permitted to return to the classroom.

For now, however, he continues to collect his salary as an educator, and his secondary income as an X-rated content creator, who has reportedly continued pumping out content.

Gow told The Free Press that UW tried to get him to retire early, but he refused.

'I don’t think I’ve done anything wrong,' he said. 'And I don’t think they’re going to be able to prove that. I want people to know what’s going on here.'

Gow, who will represent himself in front of a panel of his colleagues on June 17, added it's ironic he's been targeted for his adult content when UW offers a major on Race, Gender & Sexuality Studies and hosts an annual sex week, which features events like 'condom bingo.'

The couple also appears on at least two other porn websites - PornHub and XHamster - and some videos have more than 200,000 views. All videos were posted in the last two months.

UW System Regent President Karen Walsh previously expressed disgust at Gow's side project.

'Dr. Joe Gow has shown a reckless disregard for the role he was entrusted with at UW-La Crosse to serve students, faculty and staff, and the campus community,' said Walsh.

'The outrage over his behavior is evidenced by the unanimous vote by the UW Board of Regents to terminate him as chancellor. We are alarmed, and disgusted, by his actions, which were wholly and undeniably inconsistent with his role as chancellor.'

Gow, who is La Crosse’s second-longest serving chancellor, told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel his content is protected by free speech and no university property or funds were used to create them.

'There's nothing said about the University of Wisconsin; there's nothing said about the chancellor (on the videos). So someone else would have to make those associations. And then someone would have to say those are problematic,' said Gow.

In 2018, Gow was denied a pay raise after he paid porn star Nina Hartley $5,000 from his discretionary fund to speak at the La Crosse campus.

During the 90-minute address, Hartley told students it's acceptable to enjoy pornography, not enjoy it or be confused by it. She also stressed that pornography is fantasy.

Gow later apologized for the 'sensationalist' media attention Hartley's appearance had attracted and said he was naïve about the possibility that her profession would overwhelm her message. He also personally reimbursed the school for the $5,000.

Gow and Wilson reportedly published two books about their adult content under pseudonyms and describe themselves as executives from well-known institutions in the country.

In Monogamy with Benefits: How Porn Enriches Our Relationship, published in 2015, the couple said they are, 'fairly certain a scandal would ensue if our peers were to know about what we’ve been doing.'
