Jeopardy! viewers have mercilessly mocked the latest batch of contestants on the popular game show after they failed to answer simple sports questions.
During Tuesday night's episode, players Travis Kissire, Christina Paul and Adriana Harmeyer were all equally mystified when host Ken Jennings tested their knowledge in the 21st century sports category.
It all kicked off when Ken, 50, asked for $400: 'In 2007 this NL squad became the first team with 10,000 losses; in 2008 they won the world series behind Cole Hamels and Ryan Howard.'
Christina then incorrectly buzzed in with: 'Who are the Chicago Cubs?'
The correct answer was the Philadelphia Phillies, who beat Tampa Bay Rays on October 29, 2008.

All three players were baffled over a question about the 2008 World Series
The Phillies' victory, under manager Charlie Manuel, was the team's first World Series win since the 1980 World Series, and the city's first major sports championship in 25 years.
To date, this is the most recent season the Phillies have won in the competition.
But this wasn't the only sports related question that left contestants stumped.
Later in the game, Ken asked: 'A bit like sci-fi's Anywhere Door or Phoenix Gate, it opened on Oct. 15, 2018 to whisk college athletes to a new school.'
The answer? Transfer portal. But all three players were clueless.
They also gave the wrong answer to: 'With Oklahoma City, this master of the triple-double became the first back-to-back MVP of the NBA All-Star Game since the 1950s.'
Adriana answered: 'Who is [Kevin] Durant?'
But Ken confirmed LA Clippers star Russell Westbrook was the correct answer.

Viewers didn't hold back from venting their frustration at the players' lack of knowledge
Viewers didn't hold back from venting their frustration at the players' lack of knowledge, with one even going as far as jokingly declaring them 'permanently banned from Philadelphia.'
'There is nothing better than when the incredibly smart people on Jeopardy don't know something that all of us unwashed sports slobs know,' wrote one viewer on X.
Phillies sports blog, Cross Broad, wrote: 'No respect for the 2008 World Series Champ on Jeopardy! tonight.'
A third added: 'They are permanently banned from Philadelphia.'
A fourth said: 'Devastated no one knew the @Phillies on @Jeopardy.'
Another begged: 'We need more sports fans on Jeopardy!'
