A woman was shocked to learn that she could efficiently clean her microwave by doing an easy kitchen cleaning hack.
Gina DeMarco, 48, posted a video on her TikTok handle @genx_mompreneur yesterday and showed off the secret to a cleaner microwave.
'I can't believe I never knew that,' DeMarco wrote in her videos description box.
The TikToker walked over to her stainless steel microwave, opened the door, and removed the glass.
In her viral video, DeMarco said that she did not know she could remove the glass from the microwave door, making it much less awkward to clean.

DeMarco is a mother of three who regularly posts videos about product reviews and recommendations on TikTok.
She has received thousands of views on several videos, but the clip that featured her cleaning hack is the first to reach over a million, tapping into the CleanTok audience.
In the video, DeMarco popped open her 2018 Whirlpool Microwave door.
She then pulled the glass out with her left hand while holding the microwave door with her right.
'The glass slides out so that you can clean the inside,' she said in her video.
'I am 48 years old, and I never knew it did that.'
After nearly 200,000 TikTokers flooded her post with comments, DeMarco posted another TikTok video on June 4 in response to a user who requested she give a more thorough explanation.

DeMarco opened the microwave door in her response video and proved it had no special features on the side.
'There are no buttons over here, there's no lever, I do not have a handle on the front, there's nothing over here,' she stated.
'When you slide the glass out, there is glass under that also, which is on the inside,' said DeMarco.
The TikToker safely slid the glass back into the microwave door before closing it.
'I know it's not all microwaves. It is this microwave, and maybe if you have one that does it, yay for you too,' DeMarco said.
While many TikTok users were thrilled to learn the tip, others claimed in their comments that the hack did not work on their microwaves.

'Not me walking to my microwave only to realize mine doesn’t do that,' a TikToker wrote yesterday.
Other users have thanked DeMarco for showing viewers the cleaning hack, and one person even wrote that they 'never knew' despite cleaning houses for eight years.
'I just checked mine, and it does. I can’t stand that I couldn’t get that cleaned, but now I can clean it,' a person commented.
