Halsey fans have been left disgusted she was body shamed over her lupus diagnosis - as trolls compared her potential illness weight gain to Selena Gomez.
X users defended the star, 29, against the haters after she hinted she has been battling lupus and leukemia.
Gomez, 31, also suffers from lupus and has previously revealed how her medication for the illness has caused her to gain weight.
On X - formerly Twitter - fans stood up for both Halsey and Gomez as they decried those ridiculing the duo over the potential side affects of the medication.
'#Lupus is hard, painful and scary. The meds we take are harsh and cause a lot of other problems - but they keep us alive. I've already seen people bodyshaming Selena and saying "now Halsey will (gain weight)". Shame on anyone saying that to Halsey,' one account posted.

'I feel like an old lady,' Halsey says aloud in the first video, while rubbing her legs in apparent pain. 'I told myself I'm giving myself two more years to be sick.
'At 30, I'm having a rebirth and I'm not gonna be sick and I'm gonna look super hot and have lots of energy and I'm just gonna get to re-do my 20s in my 30s.'
In a second clip, the star could be seen inside a hospital while hooked up to a machine.
While filming a quick selfie video, the music artist informed her fans and followers, 'Today is day one of treatment.' She panned the camera towards the machine and then back to herself while resting on a chair.
The star also included a short clip while inside a studio as she seemingly recorded her new single, The End. Throughout the duration of the snippet, she strummed notes on a guitar while singing some of the lyrics.
A short montage of her health battle was also candidly shared to her fans, including her breaking down in tears and receiving treatment.
Other moments included the songstress listening to music, her arm hooked up to an IV and the mother-of-one positively giving a thumbs up towards the camera.
The next slide in Halsey's latest Instagram carousel showed a screenshot of a note in her phone simply titled, 'the f***ing end of the world.'
The singer also released a new song on Tuesday, an acoustic guitar ballad titled The End.
The new album on the horizon is a follow-up to her fourth studio album, 2021's ambitious "If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power," produced by Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.
