A Pennsylvania man has been accused of the very creepy crime of placing a GPS tracking device on the car of woman whom he'd met online, in addition to stalking her and cutting off her power and internet.
In April, a woman residing in Bucks County reported to the Bensalem police that she'd come home from a trip out of town to discover that someone had switched off all the circuit breakers in her house and unscrewed the internet connection from her wall.
When law enforcement officers subsequently examined the woman's vehicle, they found a magnetized GPS tracking device underneath it, according to NBC Philadelphia.
A detective was then able to recover data from the device, which led them back to 33-year-old Matthew Bustin of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.
Data showed that the device had begun transmitting the location of the woman's car on April 5 of this year at her workplace in Montgomery County, PA.

Surveillance footage from outside her workplace showed a man emerge from a black Honda Civic and get on the ground beside the women's car before reaching underneath the vehicle and then returning to his car.
Police were quickly able to identify the man as Bustin.
The stalking victim told investigators she met Bustin on the dating app Hinge, but felt uncomfortable around him after a few meet ups and ended their relationship before blocking him on social media.
The woman said Bustin continued to text her and show up unexpectedly.
Bustin's cellphone location data, which officers obtained a warrant for, showed he was near the woman's home and place of work at least nine times without her knowledge after the time that she'd cut off contact.
The data also showed Bustin had been near the woman's home when her power was shut off between 9pm and 10pm on April 14, while she was on vacation.
After securing an arrest warrant, Bustin was charged with burglary, criminal trespass, stalking, and harassment.
He surrendered to Bensalem police last Saturday before being arraigned and remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility. His bail was set at $2million.
Pennsylvania detectives are now gathering as much evidence as possible in an effort to put the repeat offender away for good
This was not, however, the first time Bustin had run into legal trouble for allegedly stalking a woman.
He was accused of doing something similar to a woman in Lehigh County earlier this year, according to a criminal complaint.
That woman told investigators that she'd met Bustin at her apartment complex early this year when he asked her for help jump-starting his car.
After she assisted him, the pair exchanged phone numbers and he asked her for recommendation about places to live in the area.
In early February, the woman said she received an anonymous package at her address containing Valentine's Day letters and gummy candies in the shapes of female genitalia.
Days later, Bustin requested to follow the woman on Instagram, in addition to texting her half-a-dozen times that month.
Finally, in March, the woman told Bustin she was making it 'abundantly clear' that was not interesting in dating or engaging with him in any way.
He tried again to follow her Instagram. Then he texted her multiple times. Then he showed up to her workplace, all in a three days span.
The victim told investigators that she found a bouquet of flowers on her car. She reacted by calling the police, who later found a GPS tracking device under her car.
The device, say law enforcement, was similar to the one found under the car of the Montgomery County woman.
Matthew Bustin, 33, is being held on a $2million bail after being charged with burglary, criminal trespass, stalking, and harassment
Bustin was arrested and charged with stalking in connection with that incident as well, but bailed himself out. NBC reports that he was also charged in a stalking case in 2018.
Authorities believe there may be more of his stalking victims, and would like to hear from them. Any such individual is encouraged to contact Detective Connor Farnan at 215-633-3632.
