Hoda Kotb has made a rather candid comment about her love life, sharing the 'main relationship complaints' she's received from men who she has been romantically involved with.

Hoda, 59, and her Today cohost Jenna Bush Hager were discussing Glen Powell's recent comments about how he's not 'chasing love' but would 'welcome it with open arms' if it comes along, when the mother-of-two, who recently hinted that she's still single, decided to share some details about her own personal life.

'I think that sometimes love does come when you're not looking,' she told Jenna. 'It's like, when you're in hot pursuit, when you're making it your thing, sometimes you're missing it because you're so busy seeking it out.

'But I do think what he's saying is, "I'm really busy, I have a big life, and it's going to take a special kind of person to be in this life".'

The TV host, who split from her fiancé Joel Schiffman in 2022, continued: 'And I think it's hard when you're with a busy person because we're both busy people and one of the main relationship complaints that I get is, "I don't get enough time. I need more time", and I understand it, because your life is divided into a pie.'

She then said to married mother-of-three Jenna: 'Think about your life right now. If you were to take each section of your life and write a little piece of paper like kids, work, family, exercise, whatever it is, hiking, walking the dog, everything you did, and you looked at your platter and you said, "this is how I'm filling my life", think about how much your relationship gets.

'You always think, "my relationship can wait until tomorrow. The kids can't wait, but that can wait,"' Hoda added as Jenna, 42, nodded in agreement.

The duo then spoke about a recent article which claimed good places to meet a romantic partner, besides from an app or a bar, are dog parks, an alumni event, or playing on a sports team.

Hoda laughed at the claim and said: 'I think sometimes women try to put themselves in places where guys would be, like a sports bar... "let's go for a hang with your friends", even though you're not so interested, but you'll go and you think, "I'll meet somebody cute there and that will be fun".

'I think it's good, but I also think that you have to meet them doing something that you actually enjoy doing, because pretty soon it's going to be like, "do you want to go back and watch the Steelers?" and you're gonna be like, "no!"'

Hoda's comments come after she revealed how she rejects potential romantic suitors after going on a date with them.

During an episode of Today with Hoda & Jenna in April, the hosts were discussing a new dating trend called 'Bless and Release,' which involves texting someone and wishing them the best whilst subtly confirming you won't be going on another date.

'Ghosting is sort of like the kind of cowardly way out. You can't say something, so you just, like, let it go. They'll forget. It will be over,' Hoda commented, to which Jenna replied: 'Yeah that hurts.'

Hoda continued: 'Here's the thing, if you got a text saying, "Hey Jenna, I'm not feeling a romantic connection", you'd be like, that's an ouch that is beyond,' as Jenna agreed and said: 'I know, I don't feel like that's a bless, I feel like that's a punch!'

Her cohost then demonstrated how she would phrase a potential text: 'I think it should be something like, "look Jenna... my plate's really crowded at this point in my life and I wish you the best."

'Because it wouldn't be crowded if you had a romantic connection, but you don't, but you don't need to say that,' she added as Jenna responded: 'I totally agree, soften... the word "and" is helpful.'

Joking about what she would really want to say, Hoda blurted out: 'You give me no vibe AND I wish you best!' as Jenna added: 'I am completely turned off by you AND good luck out there!'

'We've never blessed or released anybody because it wasn't around,' Jenna then said, before backtracking and asking Hoda: 'Have you ever blessed?'

Hoda revealed: 'I think so, I think so. I've said something kindly like, "you know what the timing isn't right for me in this moment."

'However, if we did have a connection - I was thinking - it would be the right time, but it just isn't the right time to fill,' she added as Jenna claimed: 'Nobody has enough time to just fill it with somebody that they're not in to.'
