In the clip, which was shared last month, Marissa can be seen sitting in her car with a beverage in hand as overlaid text read: 'Slice the sugar in your Starbucks drink in half.'
She begins: 'Would you believe me if I told you that this Matcha Creme Frappuccino from Starbucks is actually half the sugar of all of the other ones? Allow me to explain.'
The expert continues: 'If you go on the Starbucks app, you can see all nutrition facts and ingredients - everything that goes into each order.
'There are multiple sugar sources in one drink so what I do is I remove the ones that I don't want and I reduce others.
'It still tastes good but with literally half the sugar.'
Elaborating further on her order of choice, she explains: 'This is a tall Matcha Creme Frappuccino.
'Yes, with whipped cream because I'm not gonna miss out on the whipped cream.
'Almond milk instead of regular milk - that's a personal preference for my digestion.'

Marissa, who prides herself on 'helping busy women achieve balance,' urges: 'No classic syrup. This is a big one.
'And only one scoop of matcha powder. Some of their drinks have two and three scoops of matcha.
'For me personally, it is too much caffeine and too much sugar because their matcha blend contains sugar.'
She concludes: 'So, I am able to enjoy the taste of a regular matcha without the jitters and the energy crash that would follow after having a super sweet drink.
'I hope you like this little dietitian hack so you can continue to eat the foods that you love.'
She captioned the video: 'DIETITIAN HACK‼️ When it comes to nutrition (and life in general), everything is a balance.
'I believe you can still eat the foods (and drink the Starbucks bevs) you love, while achieving your health goals.'

Another shared: 'This is EXACTLY WHAT I DO TOO LOL, that's funny. I get a grande, with almond milk, no syrup. I also get one scoop also.'
And a third said: 'Instead of making it into a sugary drink, drink matcha as a hot tea.
'It's a lot healthier that way, and has more benefits to your body. Lots of scientific research backs this up too.'
