Nicola then brilliantly responded saying: 'You know, it is hard because I think women with my body type - women with perfect breasts - we don't get to see ourselves onscreen enough!'

'I was 31 when Derry Girls happened,' she told Marie Claire.
'It's important for people to know I wasn't an overnight success. In my twenties, I didn't have money to be living in London and going to a million auditions. I had to work full time and it was hard. I left London a couple of times [and moved home], because it just wasn't happening.'

Nicola told Entertainment Tonight: 'Luke and I read the books at the beginning of season 1, and it was funny to us. We were like, 'Imagine if we have to kiss and do this.
