A blind woman has hit out at a restaurant after they refused to let her service dog in, with the owner also cursing at her.
Carlyn White, who is legally blind and relies on her service dog Kuzco, says she shocked when she was told she couldn't enter an establishment with the pooch.
White, from Mississippi, had been trying to dine at Popwell's Family Restaurant in Kokomo when she was denied entry.
Speaking to WDAM, White said: 'We start trying to explain that he's a service dog. You can't deny him, it's illegal.'
Despite her protests, White said the staff member at the restaurant was 'immediately rude', telling her: 'No dogs. It doesn't matter.'

After talking with the restaurant owner, they doubled down on the issue - telling her: 'Come get you a take-out plate and take your ass to the yard and eat with your dog.'
White has now filed a complaint against the restaurant with the Department of Justice which carries of up to $500.
She argues that Popwell's violated rules set by the Americans with Disabilities Act, which requires public places to allow service animals to accompany their owners.
Alison Patrolia with Hub City Service Dogs told the outlet that dogs can only be asked to leave if they are out of control.
Patrolia said: 'Barking a lot, growling of if they were being more of a nuisance in the public space.'
She added that federal law limits what establishments can ask you about a disability or their service dog.
'The first is 'Is this a service dog?', the second is 'what task does the dog perform for you?'.'
Jane Walton with Disability Rights Mississippi said: 'These are animals that are on the clock.

'They're working to assist the person they're with. These dogs are highly trained, so they're not going to be doing anything.'
White is looking for people like the restaurant owner, who remains unknown, to take a second and think before they act.
She added: 'He could have muted the phone, searched on Google, and he would've got the answer immediately.'
Angered by the call, her mom Melissa called out the restaurant on social media and revealed they took their business elsewhere.
Melissa wrote: 'I usually don't do this but my daughter was denied in a local restaurant today because of her service dog and the owner actually cussed at me.
Her dog has been trained to get under tables during meals. You never even know he is there. I know some aren't aware but you CAN NOT deny a service dog.
'Oh and this will be reported. He told us to take our ass to the yard and eat with our dog. We were cussed and told not to come over the phone.'
When approached by DailyMail.com for comment, a woman who said she was the owner said she 'had nothing else to say'.
