A mother-of-four has been left fuming after her parents' 'selfish demands' on holiday.
The woman said she shouted her parents the trip of a lifetime to Kauai in Hawaii - paying for their accommodation, flights and car hire to thank them for helping out with her children.
But the young woman is now regretting her choices after being bombarded with complaints from the 'ungrateful' pair.
'I've pretty much heard from them how expensive their food is. Not a thank you or even an appreciate or positive remark,' she wrote on an 'Am I the a**hole' Facebook Page.
She shared a screenshot which showed one of their meals was $104 (AUD$156).

The woman was in a fury over her parents texts
'Quit complaining you are in paradise on a free vacation,' she wrote.
But her parents doubled down.
'Our CHEAPEST meal was USD$40 (AUD$60) most are USD$60-$80 (AUD$90-$120),' they wrote back.
The woman joked she would send them to somewhere much cheaper 'like Arkansas' for their next trip, only to be given some advice from her parents.
'A condo would be smarter that way we could cook a few of our own meals,' they said.
The woman felt bad for being furious with her parents over their expectations but others quickly validated her feelings.
'When something like this happens to me, I write, 'You said 'thank you' wrong.' and just leave it,' one woman wrote.
'I literally can't imagine receiving such a nice gift and doing nothing but complaining about it. If they were going to be that concerned you'd think they'd look some things up about food cost and stuff beforehand and politely decline if they didn't want to spend that money,' another wrote.
They sent a text complaining about the cost of meals
'Hawaii is expensive. Even groceries will shock you,' said another.
'Omg... so there's a hotel, I bet there's a free breakfast. Or they could have bought things for sandwiches. How dare you send them to Hawaii for vacation,' said a third.
However, some were on the parents' side.
'Hawaii is expensive. Even groceries will shock you,' said another.
'Did you ask them before buying the vacation to make sure they could afford the food and whatever else they want to do there?' asked another.
A third blasted: 'Hawaii is ridiculously expensive. Your mum sent you a screenshot of a $100 meal and your response was stop complaining you're on a free vacation. WTH.
'How is it a free vacation if they are paying for their own food and their cheapest meal is $50-$60 and this particular meal was $100?? Sounds like they probably don't eat out often, and certainly not in a super high cost area like Hawaii.
'It's a nice gesture to send them somewhere for helping you but this may have actually created a hardship for them or at least caught them off guard for how much this 'free' vacation was going to cost them.'
