A former substitute teacher has surrendered her teaching license and will serve a year of probation after encouraging two 11-year-old students to kiss in class.
Rasheda Rose pleaded guilty to a child abuse charge for the incident, which involved two sixth-grade students, according to charging documents.
The troubling situation unfolded last October at Legacy Traditional School, in the North Valley of Las Vegas.
An individual told law enforcement authorities that Rose informed the students that they 'were kissing each other wrong,' adding that she would 'tell them how to do it right.'
In court earlier this week, Rose's attorney described the kiss that occurred as a 'peck on the lips.'

The disturbing incident unfolded at Legacy Traditional School in Las Vegas. Rose, a veteran, has avoided jail time, but was told to enroll in an impulse control class and has been sentenced to a year of probation
One of the students said that Rose told the class they were not going to do the work their regular teacher had left behind for them to do, and would instead play a game called 'Never Have I Ever.'
Rose proceeded to ask 'inappropriate questions,' according to the police report.
The report also mentions a video recording taken by one of the students of the disturbing scene, in which Rose can be heard saying: 'Imma ask those two if they can give us a show,' gesturing to the two students who would go on to lock lips.
'We're not going to say anything,' she added, according to the documents.
On Monday, Rose agreed that her behavior was unacceptable.
Her attorney, who mentioned that Rose is a veteran, said that his client had trouble reigning in the room of students, whose behavior he described as 'wild.'
The judge overseeing the case, Jessica Peterson, sentenced Rose to a one-year suspended jail sentence.
If Rose violates the year-worth of probation, she will go to prison.
The judge also ordered the former substitute teacher to attend an impulse control and corrective thinking class.
She also must complete 60 hours of community service.
