An up and coming reggaeton singer and University of Southern California student has been arrested after the fatal stabbing of a homeless man outside a university frat house.
19-year-old Ivan Gallegos was arrested on Monday night in connection to a fatal stabbing at Greek Row. He is being held on a $2 million bail.
The Los Angeles Police Department is yet to officially release the student's name, but other media have named him.
According USC student publication The Daily Trojan, officers responded to the stabbing, which was reported at around 8.15 pm.
Los Angeles Police Department has said that the victim - a 27-year-old man who appeared to be homeless - was attempting to break into a car by the Lambda Chi Alpha and Delta Tau Delta fraternity house.

Gallegos is a sophomore at USC studying business administration. He also describes himself as an 'aspiring regional music artist and producer'. His artist name is IDG.

The man allegedly told the student he had a gun, which resulted in Gallegos confronting him and stabbing him multiple times, the LAPD said.
Police reportedly found the victim in an alley, suffering from stab wounds . Paramedics arrived and pronounced him dead at the scene, The LA Times reported.
According to his LinkedIn, Gallegos is a sophomore at USC studying business administration.

He was born and raised in a rough part of East LA and his parents were said to have been involved in gangs. According to his Instagram, he graduated from Roosevelt High School in 2022. He is first-generation Latino.
'Despite growing up in an environment saturated with drugs, gangs, and prostitution, he focused on music and sharpened his skills to become a multifaceted instrument and vocalist', Annenberg Media wrote about Gallegos.
He performed with Mariachi band Los Troyanos and also produces reggaeton and electric dance music.
Speaking to the MailOnline, Gallegos' mother Violet said: 'We are doing Ok, but we are hanging in there. He is a very good kid, but that's all we can release right now.'
