Former President Donald Trump pushed a wild theory Tuesday - that President Joe Biden was going to do cocaine to get 'pumped up' for next week's presidential debate.
Trump was addressing supporters at a rally Tuesday in Racine, Wisconsin, when he asked if any of them planned to tune into next week's debate.
On June 27, CNN will host the first of two planned general election debates at the network's Atlanta, headquarters featuring Trump and Biden, after the campaigns worked out debate logistics last month. In both 2020 and 2024, Trump called on Biden to be drug-tested - but those demands were ignored.
'He's gonna be so pumped up, he's gonna be so pumped up,' Trump said of Biden. 'You know all that stuff that was missing about a month ago from the White House? What happened?' Trump asked.
'Somebody didn't pick up hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of cocaine,' the former president continued. 'I wonder who that could've been. I don't know. Actually, I think it was Joe.'
Former President Donald Trump pushed a wild theory Tuesday at his campaign rally in Racine, Wisconsin: That President Joe Biden was going to do cocaine to get 'pumped up' for next week's presidential debate
DailyMail.com was the first outlet to publish pictures of the bag of cocaine found in the White House last July, when the Bidens were away at Camp David ahead of the Fourth of July holiday
Trump was likely referencing the cocaine discovered in a cubby at the White House nearly a year ago.
A small bag of cocaine was found in lockers where both staff and guests place their phones on July 2, 2023.
The discovery occurred as Biden and his family - including son Hunter - were away at Camp David ahead of the Fourth of July holiday.
In November, DailyMail.com was first to report on the photographs of the small bag of cocaine, provided by the Secret Service in response to a Freedom of Information Act request.
The discovery prompted an evacuation of the West Wing and street closures surrounding the White House and then triggered an 11-day investigation once the substance was identified as the illicit drug.
The Secret Service closed the investgation in less than two weeks due to a 'lack of evidence.'
The list of suspects had been narrowed down to 500, but security footage wasn't able to determine the owner as cameras do not face the locker area. It is unclear if any suspects were interviewed during the short investigation.
Some of Trump's allies suggested that President Joe Biden's peppy performance at this year's State of the Union address was due to him taking uppers
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre's response to questions about whether the cocaine could belong to a Biden came in the form of pointing out that they weren't home.
Hunter Biden has a long, documented history of drug use - and last week was convicted on three federal gun charges after he lied about his sobriety when buying a gun in 2018.
A number of Republicans blamed Hunter for the cocaine discovered in the White House without evidence.
At the time, Trump floated the bag of drugs belonged to both Joe and Hunter.
Trump allies also mused that the president was on an upper after his peppy performance at this year's State of the Union.
'At times it became uncomfortable watching him screaming and. yelling and speeding through that speech,' said Fox News Channel's Sean Hannity. 'The AP affectionately called it "feisty." I guess that's one way to describe it. Tonight, America saw, let's say, a very different Joe Biden.'
'I might call him "Jacked-Up Joe,"' Hannity continued, according to Mediaite. ''And that's being charitable. He sounded like a hyper-caffeinated, angry, old man.'
During a radio interview with Hugh Hewitt in April, Trump claimed Biden 'was higher than a kite' at the State of the Union address.
There is no evidence Biden has ever used drugs.
Both he and Trump do not drink alcohol.
