Celebrities paid tribute to Hollywood legend Donald Sutherland following his death at age 88.
Michael Douglas, Henry Winkler, and Nancy Sinatra were among the A-listers taking to social media to remember the iconic actor.
'What a lovely, talented, and curious man. RIP Donald Sutherland,' Douglas, 79, captioned a photo of him with Sutherland from their 1994 film Disclosure.
Winkler, 78, who starred opposite Donald's son Kiefer Sutherland in the 1998 film Ground Control, wrote to Kiefer directly on X, tweeting: 'Stacey and I send you our deepest sympathies .. Your dad was indeed singular . Warmly , Henry.'
Meanwhile Nancy, 84, the daughter of Frank Sinatra, tweeted: 'This hurts. godspeed, Donald Sutherland,' along with a broken heart emoji.

The late actor died Thursday in Miami after suffering a long illness, his talent agency CAA told The Hollywood Reporter.
Director Ron Howard wrote in his tribute: '#RIPDonaldSutherland. I was blessed to direct him in #Backdraft. One of the most intelligent, interesting & engrossing film actors of all time. Incredible range, creative courage & dedication to serving the story & the audience with supreme excellence.'
Elijah Wood took to X to remember Donald, sharing a photo of the actor along with the message, 'aww man. farewell, Donald Sutherland.'
Kiefer Sutherland also paid a touching tribute to his late father Donald.
The 24 star said his father Donald, 88, 'loved what he did and did what he loved', as he announced his passing on Thursday.
'With a heavy heart, I tell you that my father, Donald Sutherland, has passed away. I personally think one of the most important actors in the history of film,' Kiefer said on Instagram.
'Never daunted by a role, good, bad or ugly. He loved what he did and did what he loved, and one can never ask for more than that. A life well lived.'
Kiefer - who went on to emulate his father with starring roles in flicks such as Flatliners and Designated Survivor - shared a heartwarming image of himself as a young boy alongside his father during his heyday.
Donald's career in Hollywood spanned decades, including appearances in The Hunger Games and the 1970s horror movie Don't Look Now.

Kiefer - who went on to emulate his father in Hollywood - said his late father 'loved what he did and did what he loved', as he announced his passing on Thursday
He won a number of awards for his eclectic array of movie and TV roles, including a supporting actor Emmy for Citizen X in 1995.
Sutherland also picked up nine separate Golden Globe nominations for hits including M*A*S*H and Ordinary people, winning two.
His most recent appearance came last year as Judge Parker in Lawmen: Bass Reeves, and he was set to star in upcoming apocalyptic flick Heart Land, which is in pre-production.
After Kiefer led tributes in announcing his father's passing, a number of big names honored his timeless career.

British filmmaker Edgar Wright, known for hits including Shaun of the Dead and Baby Driver, praised Sutherland as a 'fascinating screen presence.'
'A funny, laconic, but also intense and dramatic presence in so many memorable movies,' he said on X.
'So sorry to see you go Donald, but what a legacy you leave behind.'
House of the Dragon star James Dreyfus added that Sutherland was a 'staple in my life through incredible performances.'
'Quirky, versatile, always honest & brilliant. Wonderful.'
Donald's former co-stars Elliot Gould and Tim Matheson also paid tribute to the actor.
Elliott Gould, who starred with Sutherland in Robert Altman's 1970 movie M*A*S*H, where they played battlefield surgeons, told DailyMail.com that the 6-foot-4 Sutherland towered over most but not just because of his stature.

'Donald was a giant, not only physically but as a talent,' Gould said. 'He was enormously kind and generous.
'It's never easy losing the caliber of a human being and actor like Donald Sutherland, but this one really profoundly hurts because Donald was like my brother, and a big part of my own career.'
Gould said when they took on the roles of Hawkeye Pierce (Sutherland) and Trapper John McIntyre (Gould), they were both young fathers and quickly bonded in their new roles as actors and dads.
Both were nominated for Golden Globes for Best Actor in 1971.

Gould, 85, added: 'Rest in Peace, you dear kind friend. I love you and I will never forget you.'
Tim Matheson, who starred with Sutherland in the 1978 comedy classic National Lampoon's Animal House, said he admired his co-stars' passion for his craft.
'One of the finest and most passionate actors I’ve ever worked with,' Matheson told DailyMail.com.
'He made me a better person, performer and director by working with him. And he always had an evilly delicious sense of humor and intelligence to delight you with.'
He added: 'I offer my deepest condolences to his family for their loss. And thank you Donald for leaving us such a huge legacy and body of work to celebrate you with. I will always adore you.'

Alongside a throwback photograph of the Hollywood star, Rob wrote on X: "Today we lost one of our greatest actors, Donald Sutherland. It was my honor to work with him many years ago, and I will never forget his charisma and ability. If you want a master class in acting, watch him in “Ordinary People”. My condolences to Kiefer.
