On first glance, Jade and Dimetrius look like any ordinary couple.

However, behind closed doors they share more than just their love of each other - but also human-sized fur suits.

The pair, based in the U.S., have been together for a year, but Jade has been living as a furry - anyone who is interested in anthropomorphic animal characters - for almost five years.

Recently they came together to make adult content for OnlyFans.

Jade and Dimetrius have shared what it's like living their lives as a furry couple - admitting they've lost friends and received threatening comments - but say it was worth it and it hadn't changed their relationship.

Jade and Dimetrius have been together for a year. Jade has been living as a furry for almost five years and the couple recently came together to make adult content for OnlyFans

They started making adult content with fur suits for the fans after moving in together, explaining why they continued to make content - and why being a furry didn't mean they were attracted to animals.

Despite Dimetrius, who has a full-time job, not being a furry, he supports Jade in her ventures.

They claim Jade's online content covers their rent, with Jade, who is a full-time content creator, saying she plans to continue creating her sexy content for another 10 to 20 years.

'Dimetrius wasn't too fond on being with a furry I know that,' Jade admitted in Truly's Love Don't Judge.

'The furry fandom is something new to him.'

Dmitrius agreed, declaring: 'I'm not attracted to the mask she's wearing I'm attracted to the woman inside of the mask.'

The pair make their content in their home, mainly in their bedroom. Jade dresses in her wolf fur suit, which has giant cartoon-like eyes - one green and one blue - and consists of brown, black and white colored fur.

She'll often post saucy photos in scantily clad outfits, often with her giant wolf-head on, which she calls Velvet.

'I let my subscribers pick what kind of content we do for the week,' she explained.

Jade says her interest began in high school, recalling drawing characters with hair and human-like characteristics, leading her to buy her first fur suit - which cost a whopping $25,000.

'Furries are just cosplayers,' she says in a clip, holding up the huge wolf head.

'I used to draw a bunch of like characters with hair and like human characteristics so I got my first fur suit I think it was 2020 when I graduated,' she explained.

'These characters give me a different personality,' she added. 'And it makes me put myself out there more - I see myself as a extension when I have my fur suit on.'

What are furries?

A furry is anyone who is interested in anthropomorphic animal characters.

Some furries wear elaborate costumes (called fursuits) or paraphernalia such as animal ears or tails, or represent themselves as anthropomorphic animals in online communities.

Furries tend to be relatively young, with the majority of adult furries (over the age of 18) being in their early-to-mid-20s, and nearly 75 per cent of furries being under the age of 25.

Across samples, the majority of furries have been been found to self-identify as White, with about 15 to 20 per cent of furries identifying as a member of an ethnic minority.

The majority of furries - 72 percent - identify as male, although one-quarter of furries identify as female. Transgender, genderfluid, and non-binary furries are also present at rates considerably higher than observed in the general population.

Furry fandom encompasses much more than just the 'therians' – or, people who feel as though they're spiritually connected to animals. The most recent data shows 7 per cent of respondents identify as therian.

Furries represent fans of media featuring anthropomorphic animals, and may include artists, writers, gamers, and role players.

They may have a 'fursona,' defined as 'anthropomorphic animal representations of the self.' The most popular species was found to be a hybrid of two types of animals, followed closely by wolves.

Among hybrids, the most popular were dog/wolf hybrids, at close to 9 percent.

The couple met through Dimetrius' old roommate, who was throwing a furry party at the time.

'I was not very keen on the whole furry fandom thing - at least I wasn't at the time,' he admitted.

Dimetrius recalled being 'stuck in his room' as the furry party was raging outside his bedroom.

'There was a bunch of furries in my apartment - people that are just odd, that I didn't want to hang out with very much,' he said.

However, Jade 'forced' her way into his room to hang out - and later, his life.

'She didn't take no for an answer in the best way possible,' he said fondly. '[We] had a couple drinks talked for a few hours and then I think it was the next week we went on our first date.'

Although it took awhile, Dimetrius eventually warmed to the idea of dating a furry, admitting there have been some 'awkward moments' but she has to remind him it's 'still Jade' under the costume.

Jade first floated the idea of creating furry content online with Dimetrius after realizing many of her friends were making money from their cartoon costumes.

'It took him a while to like really understand what it was and accept that we would be doing adult content online,' she explained.

Dimetrius was also adamant that they don't do anything 'weird,' like using a litterbox or drinking out of a dog bowl.

'Majority - or at least Jade [and] the people I've been introduced to, have been pretty good,' he insists. 'I think it's harmless I have fun with it.'

When it comes to criticism, it doesn't bother them - and in fact, they capitalize on it.

'It's just boosting it more for us and it benefits us greatly, so I'm like: "keep going, keep commenting I love it this is literally paying our rent,"' Jade joked.

Some of the comments they receive include 'all furries should be burned at the stake,' and 'dating a furry who's an OnlyFans girl has to be a fate worse than death.'

Unfortunately, one byproduct of the furry lifestyle is that Dimetrius has lost many of his friends after revealing his new lifestyle.

'I don't really have any [friends] left,' he admitted.

'The concern they had mostly was just immaturity,' he declared.

'Not wanting to do their own research, just listening to what they've been brainwashed into believing is true.'

However, Dimetrius says the people who have abandoned him are not worth having in his life anyway, and they have no plans to quit.

'[Being a] furry is paying our bills and then some,' Jade shared. 'It would be like dumb of us to not do [it].'
