Ty provided a heath update in March - eight months after 'almost dying' during his emergency throat surgery.
The home improvement enthusiast had peritonsillar abscess, which 'is a pus-filled pocket that forms near one of your tonsils.
'It's usually a complication of tonsillitis and is often caused by the same bacteria that cause strep throat,' according to Cleveland Clinic.
Ty found comedic relief in the dire situation and shared: 'I'm great. You know what's great is if you almost die, you get so much attention. It feels so nice to be that loved.'
He gained a new perspective and explained: 'It made me realize you just don't know when your timecard's gonna get pulled, so wake up, [and] live every single day to the fullest.'
