A police officer was arrested over accusations he tried to steal $900 from a suspect during a traffic stop in North Carolina.
The officer, Henry Chapman, was taken into custody on March 14 and charged with one count of embezzlement following the traffic stop in Charlotte.
Bodycam footage shows the moment the man Chapman pulled over accused him of stealing the money.
Chapman was 'fidgeting around' in his patrol car, according to a police affidavit, and another sergeant went to investigate and pulled out around $900 from the driver's side door.
The cop was arrested and placed on unpaid leave, but resigned the next day. He is expected to appear in court next month to face the charges.

Henry Chapman was taken into custody on March 14 and charged with one count of embezzlement following the incident in Charlotte
The incident began during a routine traffic stop when Chapman pulled over a driver who had an outstanding warrant.
He was waiting for him to be transferred into the custody of another officer who would take him to jail.
The suspect had $7,900 cash on him at the time and accused Chapman of taking his money.
'I don't know if it's in your door or where it's at,' the driver is heard saying on the bodycam footage. 'Do you see anything? That's my money, that's my money right there.'
Chapman denied stealing the cash and said: 'That is not me. No, sir.'
Another sergeant went to investigate the allegations and said Chapman was moving the money between his legs and into the pocket of his patrol car.
Chapman got out of the vehicle, emptied his pockets and denied the allegations he stole the money.

He allegedly blocked the pocket on the driver's side before the assisting sergeant searched the vehicle and found $900 in cash alongside a receipt.
'I heard him tampering with that rubber band,' the suspect said. 'That rubber band was on that money because my girlfriend gave it to me this morning.'
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said Chapman initially denied knowing the money was there but later admitted to taking it, although claimed he was not stealing.
Chapman, who worked at the department since 2009, was arrested and put on unpaid leave while an investigation took place before he resigned the next day.
'This is deeply disappointing for our organization,' Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department chief Johnny Jennings said.
'We hold ourselves to the highest standards, and a violation of that trust is a serious offense.
'However, I want to assure the public that we take all allegations seriously, and we will not tolerate misconduct within our ranks...no CMPD employee is above the law.'
