Shannen Doherty has opened up about her previous relationships, and how she handles dating when it feels like there is an 'expiration date.'
The 53-year-old actress, who is battling stage-four brain cancer, appeared on SiriusXM's Let's Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa - admitting finding love has heartbreaking barriers.
'I think it's hard for somebody like me in my personal opinion, because it's hard to go into dating someone when you know that they might have an expiration date,' the Charmed actress told Ripa.
She continued: 'I think that and I don't think men handle death and illness, most men, I don't wanna generalize and say all men, but they don't handle any of that as well as women do, so I think I'm a very hard sell.'
The Beverly Hills, 90210 star also spoke about her previous relationships, including her romance with poker player Rick Salomon from 2002 to 2003, saying despite their separation they are 'really good friends.'

'I adore him. I love him,' she gushed, adding he was recently on her podcast Let's Be Clear, and they text and FaceTime 'all the time.'
'Here's what it is. So, when I knew him, he was sober when I met him and when I married him, and then as he had admitted on my podcast, he was a drug addict for 15 years and [there] were some bad decisions made,' she explained.
However, the Heathers star confidently said she can fully rely on Salomon.
'But what I will tell you is that there's only a few of my exes that I know something, the s**t hits the fan, I can call them and they will drop everything to help me and he's one of them,' she said.
Doherty also revealed her ex-fiancé, Rob Weiss, was the 'one who got away', although he's still very active in her life.
'Rob is probably the one that got away,' she explained, adding they were 'really young' when they first started dating.
'When we broke up, I was like, "Oh god, this is such a mistake, Shannen." You know, he's an amazing guy, but everything works out exactly the way it's supposed to, I think,' she mused.
The actress said she wasn't sure where she was with dating, and was still reeling from her traumatic breakup with her estranged husband, Kurt Iswarienko, after he allegedly cheated on her before she underwent brain surgery.
Doherty recently doubled down on claims Alyssa Milano got her fired from Charmed in 2001 - after the actress denied the allegations

She filed for divorce from her 49-year-old husband, Kurt Iswarienko, after 11 years of marriage in April 2023.
'It's still so hard and raw and I was really, really in a dark place for nine months after I found out what he did,' she admitted. 'It was a whole fiasco that it's only recently that I've completely recovered.'
When asked if she would date either Salomon or Weiss again, Doherty replied with a firm no.
'I don't like going backwards. I like moving forward,' she simply said.
'Those two guys are the guys that are still very active in my life that I speak to and that I admire,' the actress and podcast host added.
Doherty, who portrayed Brenda Walsh in the TV series Beverly Hills, 90210 from 1990 to 1994 before she was fired from the show, has previously opened up about her experience.
In a January podcast with her 90210 co-star Jason Priestley, Doherty explained that she was in a 'really horrible marriage' when they were shooting the series, and there were 'things that were transpiring in that marriage' that made it difficult for her to 'consistently be on time for work.'
However, the Hollywood star says she recovered 'very quickly' - and it was almost a relief.
'It had stopped being fun for me. The set was very hostile and toxic and I just wasn't the girl that could work with some of the male producers,' she told Ripa.
'When they fired me, it was almost, I felt some relief to be honest. I felt like I was free and that felt good.

Doherty said working on Charmed was one of her 'absolute favorite working experiences'
Doherty - who has previously claimed ex-costar Alyssa Milano got her axed from her other hit show Charmed - added she would have stayed on that show until the 'bitter end.'
'It was by far one of my absolute favorite working experiences. I loved my character. I loved, you know, the writers. My crew was my heart. I loved every single thing about that show,' she gushed.
First diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015, the Charmed alum had a single mastectomy in May 2016. It was followed by chemotherapy treatments and radiotherapy.
By 2017, Doherty announced that her cancer was in remission. But in February 2020, she revealed the cancer had returned in 2019, and that she was in stage four. Last year, Doherty announced that her cancer had spread to her brain.
She gave an update on her condition, admitting they are 'basically the same.'
'It's kind of like being a guinea pig on a wheel,' Doherty explained.
'You know, you just keep on spinning the wheel and you hope that your protocol lasts a really long time and you get the most out of it, but inevitably, a protocol will stop working and then you have to move on to the next, and then when you move on to the next, there's a whole other new set of things that you deal with.'
She added her current treatment was 'probably one of the harder ones physically.'
