Estranged member of the Trump family plans to support BIDEN at the Atlanta debate
Mary Trump, the estranged niece of Donald Trump, will be in the spin room in Atlanta to support President Joe Biden on Thursday evening.
'On the subject of character, few people can speak to Donald Trump's better than his family. Tonight, his niece, Mary Trump will join Team Biden-Harris in the spin room,' the Biden campaign announced a few hours before the candidates take the stage.
She is the daughter of Fred Trump Jr., the former president's older brother, and has become a fervent Trump critic.
'For my whole life I have witnessed my uncle's narcissism and cruelty. His sense of inferiority has always driven his jealousy and his pathological need to dominate others and this is information that is crucially important for the American people to have in advance of the most important election of our lifetimes,' Mary Trump said in a statement released by the Biden campaign.

She has written two books critical of the Trump family and, in 2018, she provided financial records to the New York Times' about the family finances.
Donald Trump later sued her and the newspaper over the matter but a judge dismissed the suit.
Mary Trump has turned her criticism of her uncle into a source of income with books, paid appearances, a podcast and a regular newsletter.
In her statement, she described Donald Trump as 'deeply unhinged' and 'insecure.'
'If the worst happens and Donald gets back into the White House, none of us who ever criticized him will be safe because revenge and retribution are what he traffics in. I'm here tonight because only President Biden can stop Donald and save our country,' she said.
In the 2016 campaign Mary Trump endorsed Hillary Clinton.
The 'spin room' of a debate is a chance for supporters of each candidate to talk up their performance and disparage the rival.
Candidates will sometimes bring guests meant to throw off their rivals and shake up their confidence ahead of a debate.
For example, in the 2016 campaign, the Trump campaign brought four women to a debate who had accused Bill Clinton of sexual harassment in a move meant to throw his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton off her game.
Trump's move came after a 2005 interview with Access Hollywood came to light where he spoke inappropriately about women with host Billy Bush.

On Thursday, night, California Gov. Gavin Newsom will join Mary Trump in the spin room as will other Democratic lawmakers and top campaign staff.
The Trump campaign has not announced who will be speaking on the former president's behalf.
Joe Biden and Donald Trump each arrived separately in Atlanta on Thursday afternoon.
The debate begins at 9 pm ET.
