A mom who murdered her two young sons 30 years ago has been engaging in phone sex with sugar daddies as she prepares for release from jail.

Susan Smith, 52, drowned sons Michael, three, and Alex, 14, in a South Carolina lake in 1994.

She was sentenced to life in prison with possibility of parole after 30 years and has a hearing scheduled for November 4.

In preparation for her potential release, Smith has conducting raunchy phone calls with men, including one who promised her a $40,000 a year allowance, the New York Post reports.

She has reportedly become convinced she will be released, telling one suitor, 'It's time for me to get out. I've done my time. I'm ready to go.'

The killer mom was just 22 when she locked her two sons in a car and allowed it to roll into the John D. Long Lake in Union County.

Initially she told police she had been carjacked by a black man, sparking a massive manhunt in which she and her husband David publicly begged for their boys' safe return.

However it quickly emerged Smith had been having an affair with a man who apparently did not want children and she eventually admitted to her heinous crime.

Her dalliances have continued even from behind bars, with Smith turning to them for financial advice following her release prison phone records show.

One male caller told her he has a large sum waiting for her comprised of the sale of family property, money he saved and gifts from admirers.

'I'll tell you what I did last night, thinking of you,' he told Smith. 'I made a spreadsheet that starts out with $213,000. You're gonna have more than that. I think you'll be in the $220,000 range, all put together.

'You can [spend] $40,000 a year. While you're withdrawing from that balance, it's still earning interest on the undrawn amount.

'In 20 years' time, you will have spent most of that, but you will still have some of it left over.'

The exchange prompted Smith to tell him she loves him 'so much' before the two made kissing noises at each other and the conversation turned sexual.

However he is not alone, with Smith conducting similar calls with at least 12 men in the last three years.

She previously told one admirer she could 'be a good stepmom' and could see herself being around kids after her release.

'She's figuring out her future,' a family member told The Post. 'She is seeing who she can rely on, and who will be able to help her.'

Her time in prison has not been smooth sailing, with the last 30 years marred by  infractions for drugs and self-mutilation, as well as two incidents in which she was caught having sex with guards.

Smith was disciplined twice in 2010 and once in 2015 after being caught with marijuana and narcotics.

She was initially incarcerated in Columbia, but had to be transferred to Leath following multiple sex scandals.

In 2000, aged 28, she was disciplined for having sex four times with 50-year-old prison guard Houston Cagle - who was later jailed for three months for the affair.

Smith confessed to the sexual encounter with Cagle after testing positive for an STI.

The following year it emerged prison captain Alfred Rowe had sex with her and he was sentenced to five years probation and fired from his job.

Former cellmate Stephanie Hulsey said Smith also had a girlfriend, alongside her male paramours.

Smith insists she is 'not the monster society thinks I am' and revealed to reporters in 2015 that she had been planning to kill herself, not her sons, on the night of the tragedy.

'I had planned to kill myself first and leave a note behind telling what had happened,' Smith said. 'I didn't believe I could face my family when the truth was revealed.'

She also refuted claims she had hurt her children to be with a man as 'so far from the truth' and said she was not in her right mind at the time of the killings.

In 2012, she attempted to take her own life at age 40 after smuggling in a razor blade and Smith has a long history with depression predating the murders.

Her stepfather, Beverly Russell, admitted during the initial court case that he had molested Smith as a teen and had consensual sex with her as adult.

He partly mortgaged his home in order to pay for Smith's defense at trial and said the guilt was not all hers to bear.

It is unlikely Smith will be paroled on a first attempt, especially as her ex-husband has expressed strong opposition.

David Smith, who has since remarried and had two more children, plans to argue against her release when the time comes.

Smith has stated her intention to appear at the hearing.
