In the clip, Dr. Mindy spoke about how keeping your liver healthy was extremely important.

She said: 'Brain, gut, liver - keep those healthy.'  The health expert noted that there were various ways to check on your health without taking a trip to the doctor.

She suggested that everyone have a daily routine that helped them examine the five areas of their bodies.

'A daily routine to see how your body is functioning,' she said.

Dr. Mindy advised people to begin by checking the inside of their eye, which she said could tell you if your liver wasn't working properly.

She explained: 'If the inside of your eye is yellow, that can be a sign of liver stagnation.'

Next, she revealed that the bottom of your feet could reveal whether you had toxins in your system.

'When the bottom of your feet are dry and cracking, it shows that you are not getting proper circulation. It's a possibility that the liver isn't doing a good job detoxing and getting toxins out, so your circulatory system has more sludge in it,' she explained.

And before you get your next manicure, the doctor recommends you take a close look at your nails.

She said: 'When there are a lot of ridges in your nails or how quickly your nails are growing, can be a sign of mineral deficiency.'

The next step in your daily routine should be done first thing in the morning, according to the health pro.

She said: 'I also look at my tongue every morning... [if] it has a white coating on it, that can be a sign of candida, of too much yeast in your system and your body is detoxing.

'When you fast sometimes it'll go black and that's like candida coming out, that's yeast coming out....'

Lastly, the doctor recommended you take a look at your hair.

She explained: 'How much hair you're losing can signify a key finding about your health. If your hair is healthy and moist and has the same coating, then you're healthy.'

She said that it would be the 'most fair' to extend the same perk to men and that it should be the employee's choice when they want to take their days off.

The doctor recommended that women take their days the week before their period to 'support hormonal health.'

She said: 'What we know is, if you take it off the week before your period, when you come back you're going to be an even better version of yourself.

'Let your employee use their prerogative because you can't tell them when to use it with their period. I think that's the most fair because then the men can do it too.'
