Three generations of a Massachusetts family were injured when their RV exploded just before they set off for the Grand Canyon.
A grandfather, father and son were prepping the vehicle for the cross country adventure on Tuesday when it burst into flames outside of their home on Walker Road in Peabody.
Security cameras captured the terrifying moment the motorhome caught fire and blasted the neighborhood. The flames were so intense it melted the siding of the family home.
One of the men was seen running out of the blaze and rolling on the ground while smoldering.
'We heard a big explosion and then I looked out the window and then I just saw tons of smoke going up in the sky,' neighbor John O'Donnell told WCVB.

'It was just engulfed in flames and it seemed like there was nothing you could do.'
The names of the men have not been released, but they are reportedly in their 20s, 40s, and 70s according to WBZ.
The Peabody Fire Department confirmed that all three victims were talking and alert when taken to the hospital, reported WHDH.
'They got water on the fire fast and all the firefighters did a great job preventing it from spreading to the houses,' said Fire Chief Jay Dowling.
'It could have been worse. Yeah, it could have been fatalities. It also could have spread to the houses, so it was a great knock down by the firefighters.'
Neighbors said the explosions shook their homes and the flames were so strong it melted the siding of the family's home
The cause of the explosion remains unknown, and the remains of RV were towed from the scene.
All that was left was a shell of the vehicle and video show all of its windows, walls and entire front were destroyed.
The men are beloved in the community and neighbors said they regularly go on RV vacations.
'They're very good people. They're friends of mine. I was worried about the kids and everybody else too also,' O'Donnell said.
