Alanis Morissette, 50, made her daughter Onyx's eighth birthday extra special by performing her classic hit Ironic together during her concert at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville
'An old man turned ninety-eight / He won the lottery and died the next day,' a glowing Onyx sang, before her mother stepped in to remind her of the lyrics.
'It's a black fly in your Chardonnay / It's a death row pardon two minutes too late / And isn't it ironic? Don't you think?'
The mother-daughter duo then belted out the chorus together, which again inspired many in the audience to join along.
'It's like rain on your wedding day / It's a free ride when you've already paid / It's the good advice that you just didn't take / And who would've thought? It figures,' the pair sang with obvious emotion to their voices.
The You Oughta Know singer-songwriter opted for the classic rockstar look in black leather pants with a matching tank top a shiny blue shirt she left unbuttoned.
Rounding out her overall look, the Ottawa, Ontario, Canada native had her dark brown locks still flowing long past her shoulders with extra volume, plenty of natural waves, and a part in the middle.
