Joe Biden, notorious for his love of ice cream, held an event where Pennsylvania voters chowed-down on the frozen, sweet treat as the president attempted to appeal to those in the swing state amid a flailing public decline.
After a church service and stop at a campaign office in Philadelphia on Sunday morning, Biden made a final stop at an ice cream social in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to round out a day-long swing through the battleground state.
'Folks, with your permission, I'm going to find out if we have any ice cream,' Biden mumbled. 'You know, ain't it really dull when you have a president who's known for two things – Ray Ban sunglasses and chocolate chip ice cream?'
Some at the outdoor event described the president's remarks as hard-to-hear.
'If I stand here long enough all of those folks in the back are going to die of sun stroke,' Biden said. 'I'm not going to do that.'
Earlier on Sunday, Biden attended service at the predominantly black Mt Airy Church of God in Christ in Philadelphia. Several times during the service, the president appeared confused or dazed.

'Let us stand together,' the pastor said at one point during a praise and worship song.
Biden looked around with a blank stare and nearly stood up a few times before, after 30 seconds, deciding to join the congregation on their feet.
The pastor at Mt. Airy delivered a sermon centered on praise for the president amid calls for him to step aside for a different candidate.
He even suggested that Biden's previous event, where he was supposed to speak with union workers, was canceled due to strike because of God's plan for the president to come to their church on Sunday.
'God, who is in charge of everything, interfered with the president's schedule,' Bishop Felton said in his sermon. 'He was previously scheduled to speak at a conference today. But God knew, President Biden needs some love. And God sent him here today so that we can show him – come on, let's show him some love.'
'So President Biden, you are not only among friends, you're among family.'
He assured Biden: 'We did not come to beat up on you, to put you down, to criticize you, to magnify your flaws or mistakes. We come to love you. We love you, president.'

Biden stumbled and mumbled his way through the debate with Donald Trump on June 27 in Atlanta, Georgia.
And now there is a chorus of calls for Biden to end his reelection bid and allow someone else to run on the Democratic ticket in November.
'I don't know why it is that you want to make an issue of the President and his condition with stammering, and not being able at certain times to bring forth words, Felton said. 'While another person lies fluently and you never challenge his lies.'
'People are jealous of you,' the pastor said. 'Jealous of your stick-to-it-ive-ness. Jealous of your favor. Jealous of God's hand upon your life.'
