A bride has been slammed as selfish and cruel after refusing to allow her sister a plus one to her wedding.
Eleanor, 25, is getting married in December and sent the wedding invitations out six months before the ceremony.
She's having a small wedding and did not want to include any strangers or people she didn't know well - which is why she didn't allocate her sister a plus one.
'My sister has always been a 'pick me' girl. She has no friends that are women because and she says 'she sees them as competition' and she likes to be friends with boys,' Eleanor explained on Reddit.
'She will only date rich men, and has not had a relationship last longer than two months - she always has a new guy on her arm.'
Eleanor was discussing the wedding with her mother and fiancé when the topic of her sister came up.
'My mum made a comment about how anyone my sister would bring would be a fling, since she currently was not in a relationship. We didn't want anyone my sister was only dating for a few weeks at the wedding, so she didn't get a plus one.
'My sister called and told me that it was unfair that she could not bring someone. I mentioned that she didn't have the best track record with men, and that my fiancé and I really didn't want some random person nobody would talk about in our wedding pictures.'

However, Eleanor's sister took the comment as a 'challenge'.
'She said I was selfish, and that since our wedding was towards the end of December she had six months to find a boyfriend, and that it would be a serious relationship.
'I told her I would seriously doubt if she found anyone, given her track record for the absolutely worst men alive. She only dates rich men who think buying gifts will excuse cheating and lying.'
Her sister took the comments to heart and refused to accept her lack of a plus one.
'She got upset, hung up, and said she will be attending my wedding with a boyfriend of over four months because she will find one. Would I be an a**hole for considering uninviting her all together?'
Thousands slammed Eleanor's sister as entitled and childish.
'She has already decided she is entitled enough to ignore an invitation and go against the bride and groom's wishes by bringing a plus one, what else is she going to feel entitled to on the day?' one asked.
'The venue is small and you don't want strangers. If nobody has a plus one, only those invited by name, that's totally fair in a small space,' another said.
But not everyone saw her point of view.
'It's objectively sh*tty not to allow a plus one. If it would be weird to have a short term boyfriend (or even a long term boyfriend) in wedding pictures … just take them with the family! This feels like [Eleanor] is being a little over the top here and super mean to her sister.'
