Horrendous moment Los Angeles man drops puppy over side of apartment building stairwell, causing dog painful injuries
This is the jarring moment a Los Angeles man dropped his seven-month old puppy over the side of an apartment stairwell, the dog miraculously survived but suffered massive injuries.
Joeboury Coleman, 27, was arrested on Sunday and now faces charges of animal cruelty and as of Tuesday was being held without bond, according to the LAPD.
Police were tipped off by 'concerned citizens' who saw the disturbing footage on social media that show a shirtless Coleman grabbing the dog by his neck and tossing him over the stairwell.
When police went to Coleman's apartment complex located at 4000 block of Oakwood Avenue in the Koreatown neighborhood, he was detained in an alleyway, ABC7 reported.

'Concerned citizens had provided information about videos posted on social media showing a dog being abused at the location, including being kicked and thrown from a multi-story stairway by a male individual,' the LAPD said in a news release.
According to a report, the dog ran back up the stairwell after the horrific abuse.
When officers went back to Coleman's apartment and confirmed it was the same dog that appeared in the video, he was taken into custody.
Miraculously, the unnamed female dog survived despite suffering a broken hind leg, which may require surgery.
Police also noted that the pup was malnourished.
Last month, an Alabama man and a juvenile were charged with animal cruelty after a video of them using a missing dog as target practice went viral.
Cops received a social media tip about a pup being mistreated June 29 prompting investigators to identify the suspect and recover the weapon that same day, according to Sheriff Jonathon Horton from Etowah County, Alabama.

The viral clip shows dog Bullet, who had been missing from his owner, tied to a tree with one of the suspects shooting at him.
In July 2023, Thomas Hardy, 32, punched his Cockapoo five times before strangling her, compressing her chest between his legs and swinging her around by the neck.
In one clip, he was caught throwing the terrified Cockapoo into a lift, before kicking her and then smashing the security camera.
In a separate incident, ten days later, Hardy was seen grabbing another dog by the neck before violently putting him on a lead, dropping him to the floor and yanking him off his front feet.
He pled guilty to two charges of unnecessary suffering by inflicting blunt force trauma, physical violence and intimidatory behavior.
He was given a 12-week prison sentence for each offence — suspended for 24 months during his April sentencing.
He was also banned from keeping animals for 12 years.
