A man has revealed the moment he dined and dashed on a Hinge date when he assumed she and her friend were using him to get an expensive free meal.
TikTok user Johnny America claims he left the bill on the table and quietly exited the restaurant after his date brought an uninvited friend.
To make matters worse, the duo both ordered expensive 'surf and turf' dishes and multiple drinks apparently under the assumption he would pay for everything.
Johnny said he and the woman had agreed to meet up for a casual lunch date but she later insisted they go to a Hibachi restaurant.
In a clip with over 2.5 million views, Johnny explains: 'I get there to meet this girl for Hibachi, and she brings a friend with her and goes, 'Hey, would it be cool if my friend just jumps in with us?' said. 'What was I going to tell her, 'go away?''

TikTok user Johnny America claims he left the bill on the table and quietly exited the restaurant after his date brought an uninvited friend
Johnny said he started talking to his date when she and her friend ordered a 'bunch of drinks' and appetizers.
While Johnny said he found it unusual, he didn't make a comment about how much the women ordered.
When the Hibachi chef took their orders, the content creator stuck to a basic chicken and rice dish.
However, his date and her friend both decided on the pricier surf and turf option.
This made the TikToker suspicious.
He told his followers: 'These girls think I'm stupid. I'm not.'
Johnny said he and the women chatted throughout the meal but was well aware of the stunt they were trying to pull.
When the chef offered to split the bill, he noticed the women requested it to be 'all on one.'
He then asked his date, 'Would you mind boxing up my food to go? I need to use the restroom.' He promptly left the restaurant.
'Guess where I went? I didn't go to the restroom. I went in my car and I went home. You think I'm stupid? I'm not. You paid my bill. Thanks,' he said.
In a follow-up video, the TikToker said he went back to the restaurant the next day to confirm the bill was settled.
He spoke with the chef, who informed him that the bill was paid but not by the two women who waited 30 minutes before 'another man came in an paid the tab.'
'These two suckers called another idiot to pay their bill, and this idiot actually did,' Johnny said.
He added: 'There’s no saving them. They’re not good people.' He gave the chef $20 for the hassle.
Users in the comments commended Johnny for following his intuition and leaving the suspicious duo.
One wrote: 'Nothing more disrespectful to me than taking advantage of someone’s kindness. I’d dip out too lol.'
Another added: “Lollll you played their game better than them. She wanted an expensive meal for free and for her friend that’s crazy good on you sir.'
'I feel like they have done this before,' a third said.
