Shocking video footage has revealed the terrifying moment a Jeep smashed into a Tesla, as it spun out of control on a mountain road in a hit-and-run crash.
Radu and Angela Stefan, a couple from Las Vegas, were driving their Tesla along Deer Creek Road on Mount Charleston on July 7 when the accident occurred.
Disaster struck when a Jeep Rubicon, hurtling down from the mountain, suddenly veered into their path, smashing head-on into their car.
'It was like a horror movie,' a shaken Radu revealed to KSNV.
'Very scary. We were just horrified, experiencing it. Just in shock.'

In the heart-stopping incident caught on dashcam, Radu loses control of the Tesla as it spins and narrowly misses the edge of the mountain cliffs.
'We lost control of the car,' said Radu. 'The car went towards the mountain, and I was barely able to stop it at one point.'
But the couple was shocked to see the Jeep driver sped off, leaving the Stefans stranded without cell service.
'We saw in the rearview mirror the people who hit us, they just left.'
Good Samaritans had to fetch Rangers to help the traumatized couple.
'Some people stopped, trying to help us,' Radu said. 'We had no cell phone service at that location. So, somebody went and called the Rangers.'

But the Stefans now face a whopping repair bill of up to $20,000 - and their insurance won't cover a penny, according to the couple

They're desperately seeking the hit-and-run driver to foot the bill.
Nevada State Police are investigating, but have yet to identify the maniac driver who drove off the scene.
With their Tesla now sitting damaged in their driveway, the Stefans are hoping someone will come forward with information about the mystery Jeep.

In April, US auto-safety regulators revealed that the Tesla Autopilot feature has been involved with at least 13 fatal crashes, after conducting an investigation into the feature that began in August 2021.
It's unclear if the Tesla driver was using the autopilot feature when he was struck head-on by the Jeep.
The details surrounding why the Jeep collided into the Tesla are still under investigation.
